Oh my god! Look at these little guys! They were rescued from the fires in South Australia
Here's a bit of their story:

"Amazing work by a man named Adam and his mates who pulled these guys out of harm's way at Cudlee Creek and into safety."
"Koala Rescue are all over it. Well done fellow South Australians. Fantastic job!"

Koala populations in NSW have been decimated by bushfires, despite best efforts to save their habitat in northern parts of the state.

Ive always wondered if they are as cuddly as they appear. I just want to hold one!!

I know that must have been hard to put to words Zazie. I am glad you did as I have been worrying about that also. I am always thinking ahead at the long term. My family jokes about it because anytime anything comes up my known response is "but what is the long term goal?"
Ricky, you must consider things, sooner rather then later because in the wild a bunny might be able to escape being impregnated. You have corralled them and made it possible in a sense. This is not the thing you want to 'figure it out as you go" because in no time you can have a big problem on your hands. Please give it some thought. I suggest segregation until all boys are altered.
Thanks for the concern. I may do that even though bugs and sassy are so cute together. They share everything. So cute.

I woke up to this sassy at the window on top of fluffys kennel looking like where my food?!

They bite. Ones raised from babies can be trained not to bite, most of the time. It's only ever most of the time..

The ones in the wild can carry nasty diseases. Koalas have surprisingly sharp teeth, too.

Thanks, @chanelvaps. I felt kind of brutal, but visions of a tribble-type situation made it impossible for me not to say something.

Earlier today, I had to pick up some money for a job I sub-contracted. When I met the woman at the convenience store, she handed me a $50 cycle gear gift card along with the cash she owed me, told me she knew I was going to spend the money on bills, and to get some riding gear. What a nice person.

I’ve been going around finding options for Toby to be groomed that Amy be cheaper than 400 bucks. I had a long conversation with a groomer by my work who does dogs that get aggressive. I could get him something to make him sedated a bit and give him some cbd. Then bring him in and have her shear him. That would be cheaper so I’m thinking about that. My mom is making me feel
Bad and saying he will probably have a heart attack and die from the stress of being groomed awake. But I say the full anesthesia is worse. Plus 400 bucks for me to pay each hair cut is absolutely insane. I mean he’s my dog too and I love him I asked if it’s safe for him . But my mom just wants me to shell out the 400 each haircut and then have a doped up dog for days .

I made fluffy an appointment at the cheap vet I could find and they are going to examine him Monday. Very highly recommend vet that’s close by so I wouldn’t have to take a ferry ride to the mainland. 85 for the exam and 230 for the neuter. I’m so happy he will be getting taken care of. I’ll be doing Toby soon as well.

Thanks again to everyone that donated to my PayPal I’m so relieved to have some help and for something good to happen to me for a change. Working on my rabbit house again today :) my work never ends but it’s rewarding

I’m no expert, but my vet assured me that properly done, something to make the dog relax is fairly safe. Rudy is too old for anesthesia, especially with his heart condition, and she would not put him under unless it was an emergency. But she has prescribed him some doggy Xanax. He doesn’t take it anymore, but when he needed it, it worked well and he suffered no side effects. You might ask your vet what they recommend, it would ease your mind.

Got the Christmas village put up with lots of help from my 7yo grandson. It’s a little more chaotic looking than normal, but he’s happy with how it looks.

Chaos is more interesting anyway, I think it's lovely.

My knowledge and experience with koalas is a bit different to @stols001.
Yes, they can bite - as any animal can bit, either domesticated or wild.

Luckily, koalas have never been hunted by man so have not built up a fear toward humans.
The koalas being rescued are usually very docile - it is as though they know that humans are going to help them.

The koalas kept in sanctuaries are looked after very well and are often petted and held by the public who visit. I have one a couple of kilometres from my place called the Daisy Hill Koala Centre. It is wonderful place to visit and to learn about all things koalas and to have a cuddle. And it is free to visit!

To answer your question @Terri McVeety - yes, koalas ARE as cuddly as they appear

Here is Lewis the koala. He was rescued from the fire by a lovely lady. He suffered extreme burns over much of his body and unfortunately did not survive. :(

For those that wish to read about Lewis his story is below - but be warned- for the softies amongst us it is a tear jerker.

Once again I will tell of Benadryl. Daphne takes it on plane rides. She is registered as a therapy dog and gets to fly in cabin with me but trips from Georgia to California are long. I have to fly first class so there is room for her at my feet but without the Benadryl she would be a nervous wreck. My vet gives it to his dogs too. 25mls per 25 lbs of dog

Crazy cat sleeps like this every day, face buried in the pillow .
Her latest medicated shampoo makes her fur look gross. When the vet comes tomorrow to do acupuncture on Monk’s back, I’m going to ask for an alternative. Poor Catdog doesn’t look fluffy like she should
