Always loved those silkys, kind of brings the Beetles to mind.A few years ago, I lived in a farm cottage next to my parent's lifestyle block farm. I got a few Silkie bantam hens and a Silkie bantam rooster - from a farm down the road.

Mum wasn't too impressed with my free-range rooster. He kept jumping over the fence and 'annoying' her hens, which stopped them laying
After a few months later, he was returned back down the road to the farm. But he had plenty of fun while it lasted![]()

he was hurt on Friday morning. By the time I got the email it was too late on Friday to get him to the wildlife hospital. I went and got him early Saturday morning and delivered him by 10am but he was 24 hours with no food and water (their instruction) and probably in pain.I don't know how you can tell with an owl, but that bird looks depressed.
Also Nermal, most owls have yellow eyes in which you can see the black dot. A distinctive eye. The Barred owl, this guy, is known to have black to dark brown eyes as this guy did.
