I didn't know either. Isnt it amazing? We separated our male from the mommy and her babies. They needed more room.
There’s a lot of myths about mother and father bunnies being uncaring but they really don’t deserve that. Some say keep the dad away because he’ll eat them etc.
And mom doesn’t tend to the nest much because rabbits are prey and they can’t fend off predators so they don’t lead anything to the nest. If they think a predator is following them or it will attract unwanted attention to the nest to go feed them mom with skip a feeding.
Most breeders keep the dad away as soon as the mom makes a nest but I think it’s mainly so they don’t get pregnant again. They arnt known to kill their young except if there is a animal coming to eat the nest I belive.
Looks like love to me.
If it wasn’t for fluffy they wouldn’t get nearly as much love and snuggles as they do now

Fluffy is keeping every baby warm this cold night. He loves them so much you can tell and whenever I come look and he can’t see who it is outside the house he comes hopping over and stands up to the window to see who it isOnce he sees its me he goes back with the babies.

All the fur behind fluffy is from the baby’s nest. Stevie made such a warm little nest for them to stay in the first few weeks of their life and it obviously worked very well because it’s been very chilly yet they stayed warm and toasty

You've already found homes for them, right, @Ricky Vapes? How old do they have to be before they can move on to them? (I'm terrified someone else is going to get pregnant.)

My sister and her husband want one along with their little girl my niece
I think it’s her husband who wants one the most though he just thinks they are so cool. It’s funny my sister was all against me bringing Stevie home when I was trying and tried to talk me out of it all the time and would tell my mom that she will stink so bad and that it’s a feral animal etc.
But now she thinks they are so cute .
I only want them to go to good homes. There’s a nice woman at my work who used to have a bunny that looked similar to Stevie in colour and she really wants one. I know she’ll be another good home for one of them
Another guy at my work wants one to bribe his oldest kid to come live with him again but I don’t think I’m gonna give one to him he can’t even seem to make it to work these days and just argues with his spouse all the time and only cares about Facebook. He also has pit bulls and live on the native reserve where a lot of people do so I would be scared for the bunny. I could see the baby in some tiny cage forgotten about crying for me...

Yikes. I was contacted about Archie. A lady claims he is hers and she wants him back. She says she moved to Florida so she never saw any of the posts on NextDoor until her neighbor told her. She says the reason (I asked) he was out all night in the cold and rain is because he lived in her basement (sad) alone, because he did not like her dogs inside. She is now accusing me of stealing her cat. No matter that he was on my porch night after night, hungry and cold.
She moved Jan 24 and the last time she saw him was Jan 23. Said she called for him and he did not come. He had been at my house since Jan 14 but not in a cage until after Jan 29th. He could have went home if he wanted to.
Of course I asked her if she would not rather he live in a nice home with no dogs and not be coyote prey. She said NO, she wants him back.
I have friends at the local shelter. Not saying I will not give him back. Not sure what I will do. He is still up for adoption with the Rescue but gets a lot of attention and I know he will be adopted if he is allowed to stay on with the Rescue. I do not like the idea of giving him back but if I have to (legally) I will. I asked her to show me proof of his current vet visits and she got hostile.
