Oh my god thank you so much everyone this is way more than I ever expected! I can’t believe this it’s like a Christmas miracle. I’ve never had people be so generous to me let alone people I’ve never even met in person.

good things do happen when you do good In this world :)

All those rabbit photos really paid off I guess.

Thanks so much guys this is more generosity than I ever could have imagined. I’m so happy. My mom will be happy to hear too.

I’m just at my work Christmas dinner and everyone here is amazed as well. They can’t belive complete strangers did so much for me and my bunnies.

I'm beginning to think Stevie and her sister have been playing a long game here: entrance you with their charms till you decide to bring them home and then lure all the competition into your traps so they have the lumberyard to themselves.

More seriously, I worry about the babies you inevitably are going to be dealing with. A very cold, pragmatic part of me thinks that if Sassy gives birth, you should very kindly euthanize her children. The alternative will be to sex them and then incur more neutering costs, crossing your fingers that you sterilize the boys in time, and then resign yourself to spending a fortune on bunny food. It's a quandary.
I haven’t tried to catch Stevie for a while now I wanted to get everything set up for these guys first. Mabye she’s that smart but I am gonna try to get her again . I just think those other ones couldn’t fend for themselves very good hence why they would go into the trap multiple times even after being trapped in it and set free.

I’ll deal with babies when the time comes. Mabye I’ll be able to find some homes for the babies if that happens. I see where your coming from though.

I have not been around but send your paypal if you need more help. You HAVE to get all the males neutered whether you think they are "pals" or "rapists." I promise you, regardless, two bunnies of the opposite sex, if one were inhabited by Satan and the other inhabited by Jesus Our Lord Christ, they would be boning.

A LOT.

ALL the bunnies in the world came from one male and one female bunny--- and a HUGE island like Australia is TERRIFIED of bunnies.

The cats couldn't hack it with the bunnies (most of Aus is desert but bunnies eat EVERYTHING) and all the farmland got eaten.

I don't know if you need an animal husbandry class, @RickyVapes but perhaps you have the Aus equivalent of a PetSmart or PetsCo where some staff (including vets) are knowledgeable about the animal(s) you love and can teach you about their care, a fair amount, and often at little to no cost.

All the info you get will be helpful.

Your bunnies might be having stealth sex as you watch them. It happens, sometimes almost by magic.

:)

So glad you have the bunnies safe, now lets keep their numbers manageable.

Anna

Oh my god! Look at these little guys! They were rescued from the fires in South Australia
Here's a bit of their story:

"Amazing work by a man named Adam and his mates who pulled these guys out of harm's way at Cudlee Creek and into safety."
"Koala Rescue are all over it. Well done fellow South Australians. Fantastic job!"

Koala populations in NSW have been decimated by bushfires, despite best efforts to save their habitat in northern parts of the state.

Also, please forgive me for stating the obvious about the potential babies, @Ricky Vapes. Of course you've been thinking about this stuff already. I'm just a fretter.
I know that must have been hard to put to words Zazie. I am glad you did as I have been worrying about that also. I am always thinking ahead at the long term. My family jokes about it because anytime anything comes up my known response is "but what is the long term goal?"
Ricky, you must consider things, sooner rather then later because in the wild a bunny might be able to escape being impregnated. You have corralled them and made it possible in a sense. This is not the thing you want to 'figure it out as you go" because in no time you can have a big problem on your hands. Please give it some thought. I suggest segregation until all boys are altered.

Adorable! I feel so sad for the wildlife in disasters like this.
