Morning everyone! I need lots of finger crossing today. I’m second in line for a meet and greet with a small rottie mix boy. Weirdest coincidence, his foster is a former student and classmate of my oldest. Maybe that’ll give me an edge when it comes to picking his fur-ever home

That enough for ya Mel?

i wish i had great camera skills.
my semi feral cats move like killers.
they look like killers too.
this is probably because they prefer game they catch to cat food.
i go thru tons of kibble in the winter, but they just nibble this time of year.
My cats murder like crazy in the summer and are pretty good about eating what they kill, but they still want just as much food at mealtimes. They must need it, too, since they always slim down once hunting season starts.

Sure wish there were some way I could get them to kill rodents only, but they definitely prefer birds.

Seeing as 2-3 of you appear to be looking for something more spicey I'm more than happy to oblige. :D

This was Carli's father working on bite work. He was a sheriff's officer.

And a video of him apprehending a fake criminal.

No dogs are ever harmed. Zero meanness. All dogs are loved and very well cared for. These are highly trained professionals with decades of experience. For the dogs this is "work" but also "fun".

The lady you hear issuing the commands is a good friend going back to when we were young. Also my wife's best friend from when they were kids on. She's a top trainer/breeder of GSD's and Belgian Malinois for law enforcement. Great fun.

Carli's father Chico (sire) was a sable and her mom Bella (b*tch) was all black.

He’s coming for a spend the weekend visit!!! We’re driving over to Baton Rouge to get him this evening :banana::banana:. Busy washing a dog bed (an extra I keep for the grandpup) and trying to not get too excited in case we’re not a good match for each other.

    And, YOU... ;)

    My Carli. :)

Such a beauty! Last week at the lake, the lady across the cove only had her personal dogs (a malinois and a blk lab). Usually she has 4-6 others that she’s training for LEO/military. I love watching her work them, but best part of the day is “recess” when they all race down the dock to jump in the lake. A giddy herd of GSD/malinois.

Audrey (my 6lb Nebelung the youngest absconded with) would catch palmetto bugs and lizards. Nothing like being woken up with that present lol. Catdog isn’t the least bit interested, unless it’s kibble, napping or brushing. Not even the birds at the feeder she can see from the back door get a glance. She’s a perfect defective kitty lol.

    Congrats @NolaMel how exciting!!!

I definitely need a PET. The problem is, the "pet' I want is a horse, a miniature donkey to keep the horse happy and another horse for the husband if I can get him over his fears. I bet with the right horse I could. I'd have to start with the miniature donkey dude. LOL. The husband is pretty flighty, when I go up and greet a horse by blowing gently into its nostrils (how horses greet each other) well, he looks at me like I'm a madwoman. I mean obviously there are times you DON'T do that, but usually you can and the horse digs you.

So not practical right now. LOL the pdoc called and we mostly talked about my self-rehabilitation, my meds (DUDE I JUST GOT OFF LIKE 5 days of steroids YOU NUTS???" He was amazed at the houses you could get in Clarksburg for little money.

I was like, "Dude, you are not my real estate agent and I already looked but thank you for your inquisitive nature." Heh. He was shocked to hear my rehabbed house could go for 160K plus and I bought it at 70. I was like, "Oh you don't want to get into mistress of the real estate runes with ME, I am IT and if I told you too much you'd up my anti psychotic and I NEED my runes right now."

I told him I had chosen a 28 acre property that had a castle tower in front and my biggest worry was it was too nice (and big) a house for me to own. LOL. It's still pretty sweet though.

Anyway so YEAH I finished my credentialing on time! IT WAS HORRIBLE. LOL. So glad it's done. You get into entering yo jobs, you just enter this place of numbness but not a nice place.

Yeah I am a wee bit ashamed every time my cat kills a bird.
