MIlo and Marble are back with me. Neighbor decided not to adopt because her boyfriend would only let her have one and she could not chose, and felt they needed to be together. She can no longer foster as per her boyfriend, because she fell in love with them and he feels she needs to cut ties.
Oh well, back with me and now I have two sets of two and am overwhelmed and need some adoptions to take place. Kitten season has been beyond this year

I agree with everyone else, that girl needs to re-home her BF. Even from a picture I can see how bonded they are.
I had a friend who had two cats she adored. Met a man, he was a prince, got married, and then he claimed to be allergic. Made her get rid of them. I warned her... a year goes by and he brought home a cat. I asked how, suddenly, he’s not allergic? I think he just didn’t like her cats, they didn’t like him, for sure, and he was jealous because she had them during a previous relationship. Anyway they got divorced soon after.

My girl Cheddar today. I have four fosters and I secretly hope she is the last to leave because I love her so. She got listed on the adoption site today and has a clean bill of health (but will still only eat her food if there is baby food mixed in and yes I indulge her nightly)

In case you ever wondered if opossum really play dead when threatened, I can confirm, they do.

I took Georgia out last night about 10pm for her last wee of the day. It was dark of course, but she was also around the side of the house, so I couldn’t see her.

I heard a noise, like something hit the fence. And I just knew it wasn’t her, but I called her. Heard her tags jingle.

Turned on my phone’s flashlight and saw her under the Apple tree, what looked like a ball of fur in front of her.

It as an adult opossum, not huge, bigger than a rabbit. Sure looked big next to my dog.

Now that I know it’s okay, this is pretty funny. It was laying on its back, feet in the air, mouth open, tongue hanging out to the side. Like how someone would draw a cartoon.

I stood there for 5 minutes or so, and that thing looked as dead as any dead thing I’ve ever seen. Didn’t see any wounds though, except one tiny scratch on its tail.

When I finally fell asleep - I was so upset, today is trash day so if it was dead, I’d have had to get out there by 6am and bag it up- I had nightmares about it all night.

Georgia is not a mean dog, she’s actually the sweetest one ever. But she’s terribly territorial. Off the property, she hardly even pays any attention to other animals.
