Yes. Thank god. I know they’re not everyone’s favorite animal, but I have a soft spot for them.
I had a pet possum, it's mother got ran over and all the babies were dead except the one I rescued.

It was tiny, had to bottle feed it. He would wrap his tail around my finger and dangle when he was still a little feller.

    She actually LOOKS miffed
What on earth did you do to my girl?

Better just fly her over Mel, she's obviously not getting treated like a princess should be. She doesn't even have a tiara!

I had the audacity to make it snow, which meant her breakfast was completely undercover  Imagine her reaction if her waters broke while there was still snow around ;)

OM gosh, my biggest fear these days has come true. Cheddar is being adopted. I have to say goodbye to her early Friday morning. She will take a piece of my heart with her~

Seriously I could not have let her go

But I hope this gives you some comfort: If Luna hadn't been fostered and offered for adoption, then we both would have missed out. With other people Luna is either a complete snob or she's scared of them. With me, she chirps, meows, merrups and talks her head off. She only sleeps on my lap or feet in bed. If I'm trying to type when she wants my lap - it's too bad, she headbutts her way in and curls up asleep.

I'm also a complete snob with ppl, I'm happiest on my own - with Luna talking her head off. She calms me down, makes me laugh and I'm so grateful to have this time with her

I know all my love and patience with her has made her the best she can be and I hope the new people treat her right. I think back to the scrawny tiny malnourished bundle that came out of trap, hissing and growling. As soon as I bathed her and pulled all the ticks out of between her toes, I swear she hugged me. Easiest bath I ever gave a feral and it was more like a water massage.
I am happiest on my own too Ange, with animals usually. People get on my nerves. So superficial (most)

Also I HAVE to let her go as my own cats would be unhappy and I promised them nothing would ever rock their boat for their whole life. One time I kept a foster too long and my Jules pulled all the fur out of her belly. Vet visit revealed anxiety and she had to go on Prozac. Cheddar is going to a home with young couple who is adopting two from the same place (another foster but the same rescue I foster for)
My only reservation is that, instead of choosing Colby, her brother, who she is bonded with, they went with another because they wanted one orange and one black. Choice based on color not what would make their kitties the happiest. SEE?? Superficial darn people

I can just imagine your local dog groomer's reaction when you bring in Gemma for shearing :D
I did our big standard poodle for 15 years... pretty close to sheep shearing lol???? Tell her to pack her shades and sun hat, no nasty breakfast covering snow here! And, my vet already does farm animals. Think we’re set! Oh, do check with her before I make the reservations, window or aisle? And I assume she’ll want the vegetarian meal plan?

As long as it's a window seat, she'll be happy with even a simple wheatgrass smoothie

Today I am faced with a sick Milo. He went down yesterday and just stopped playing. Would not eat his dinner, unusual for him as he loves his dinner and always tries to help polish off his sisters dinner too. He only wants to sleep. He is also limping. He is going to the vet today and I fear Limping Calici. Thankfully he has been vaccinated. I am forcing fluids with a syringe to avoid dehydration. Here he is with his sister staying close and she even has her arms around him. She will not leave his side.

I know I don't normally post in this thread because it's difficult to keep up with so much...

But we just found out some bad news, and I would ask for prayer and/or positive thoughts...

My niece (my husbands niece to be exact) was in a serious car accident today - it's her 21st birthday today. Her name is Savannah.

She was on her way to Grundy to pick up Anna Lee, and pulled out on the highway out here and a truck came fast around a corner and she got hit - hard.

They couldn't life flight her because of the weather, so they took her by ambulance to Johnson City (specialists there)...

She has serious damage to her spleen, both her hips (something occurred with the ball joints in her hips) and she has a brain bleed...

Please pray for her... she's in bad shape.
