Well,I went to bring Chedds her lunch. I held her for a minute. She was very stressed out. She hissed at every cat that came near us. I walked out of the room to talk to the director and she howled. Her little paws coming under the door while she was crying. She begged me to bring her home, I tried to be strong but broke weak. She is back in her bed

I know. I am crazy. The thing is, she did not like it as I envisioned. It was too stressful. I have to get her adopted but not by leaving her there. Chedds has options. She has me. I am going to bring her to an adoption event Saturday and then I will take her to the center daily so she is there for a potential adoption but she will come home each night

Who are you going to find that will feed Chedder her baby food. She is still a very thin kitty and I just don’t think she will do well elsewhere.

funny thing is, if the big cats leave some of their food behind, she will go to their dish and eat it. The baby food thing started when she got sick and could not swallow. I made her baby food broth that she could eat/drink. Now it is more of a treat thing and used because she has to go in cage at night and I want her to have a treat. She will eat kibble, thankfully. I leave her quite a bit of kibble in her dish at night and she does eat it. She also does not drink much water and the baby food broth helps with that so she does not get constipated. I can always tell when she needs it based on her litter box. Last night she did eat some fancy feast cat food and we did the same usual routine where she sees me clanking around with her metal dish and then walking to her room and her following, jumping in her cage to wait for me to get there. I set down the cat food and left and then went back and she had eaten it.
I will keep looking for the right home for Cheddar and am taking her to an adoption event on Saturday. I have made a blow up picture of her and Daphne to hang on her cage showing she is dog friendly.
A lot of people know that orange cats are the most affectionate. A lot of people also prefer females over males. Cheddar being an orange female scores her some points.
I don't know Fran but I have to try as I promised Julie and Joe I would.

I wish your older cats liked her more.

Just do whatever is right for you and for Cheddar. And only you will know what that is

Since Joe has been known to steal a bag of treats from the treat jar IF I left the lid off, I got a new type lid that just sits on top. As seen in video above, Cheddar knows how to take the lid off. This morning I woke up to find a bag of eaten treats in the hall bathroom, courtesy of Joe. I realized then then that now that Cheddar takes the lid off at any given time, Joe, as sneaky as he is, can go get a bag. I wonder if he shared the bag I found this morning with Cheddar? I might have to go back the screw on lid which I hate because the threading is off on it and it is a struggle.
