I think those lil clamshell ones you guys have will do the trick and 6 tanks seems to be a happy medium i am seeing.

well first cleanout, sadly Mystic is to much for my newb technique and will be set aside till I can handle more intense Menthols (it tastes nummy tho) went with plain old really hot water n lotsa rinsing. Will give K curse a shot since Wheezal endorses it pretty highly.

So wince y9ou all use the Triton, I mean does the tank really need to sit over night to dry? If so I'm gonna just bring some canned air from work and blow the tanks out. It just seems counter intuitive, i mean the juice is liquid I would think toweling dry the wicks n tapping out the majority onto towel would be good enough.

Hey S-One,

Since you are going from one menthol to the next, I don't thing a thorough cleaning is necessary. If I was going from Mystic to Coolmist for example, I'd dump out the tank, remove the coil. Rinse the tank in water, tap dry, then blot the wicks as much as possible with vapers towels. Then put it together, load up, and off I'd go.

I'm not a big menthol vaper, mostly into the tobaccos. So many times, when I'm changing from say torque to prime or longhorn, when the tank is near empty, I just fill it with the next flavor. But I do try to rinse the coil every 4 or 5 tankfuls.

And geez, I take 2 second hits of strong flavors, like the menthols. Nothing longer.

And you don't want the tank tight on the battery cause it will deform the grommet and it'll cause problems, like leak or short. With one hand you should be able to loosen the tank.

Hey, in a few days, this will all be second nature. Smile. Vape.

Hey, you be a Halon, dude.:toast:

I wouldnt use canned air, there is a bit more than just "air" in those cans. It really depends on how humid or dry your place is, on how long you have to let things dry. You an easily fold up a napkin or papertowel, and swirl it around the inside the tank to get the bigger blobs of water. The big thing you gotta watch out for is water in the stem. You can help accelerate that drying by blowing throug the stem from the bottom of the tank. Just put your lips around the base, closing off the 2 bottom airholes with your lips and blow.. to get all the water out of the stem. The stem is the part that takes the longest to dry, and if not totally dry, will result in a partial or complete short.

With the wicks I would let them dry out complete, just use some new coils while the cleaned ones dry.

Water is thinner than e-juice, so if you get too much water in the mix... it will cause things to start leak and get messy.

OK did any of ya guys have phase when ya first started where ya felt like ya weren't getting your nic fix from the vape? I was ok the first 2 days, now that I am settling in to the hang of the technique I went from having, at least I felt, just only psychological cravings for an analog to really still wanting an analog even after stepping up how often I vape. I have 24mg so it's not the nic strength of the vape. Normal phase of dropping the analogs?

yes and yes.

Just gotta hang in there. As your body purges itself of the addiction of all the other chemical compounds it was getting from ciggies, and your body adjust to the change in delivery method, you will feel all sorts of weird.

I swear for me, after about a month or so, it got easier. Although now, +6 months since I started vaping, I still have pangs for a cig, but more for the ritual and the motions, than for the actual smoking. It is a strange thing, even now... sometimes a smoke smelt in the distance makes me want one and other times it totally grosses my body out.

Anyways, I found that in the first couple of months, I was actually over-nicced most of the time, but I hadnt realized it. I was hitting the vapor, because i needed the motion of ritual of puff puff, and I would find that I had too much nic in my body towards the end of the day, which would lead me to not sleep well. For myself what I did, was keep a juice journal, where i was keeping track of how much juice i went through a day, but I was also after dinner dropping from my 18mg (the nic level I started at) to a 9mg (I bought some 0mg and mixed it 50/50 with some of my 18mg).

Remember, you weren't addicted to just the nicotine in an analog. The other chemicals are either addictive and/or they change how the nicotine is addictive. I saw a study where it said nicotine isn't as addictive as first thought, that it was the rest of the burning leaves and additives.

Sorta like some peeps are addicted to Marlboro Reds. No other cig will do it.

So...

Like Fallen says, hang in there. Like you've found out, most of the nic absorption from vapor is from the nose and mouth. Drink lotsa water.

Vape on!

I was hangin with one Ms Evie. I am waiting for my other tanks to arrive. So now I am alternating between 2 for now (Menthol Ice and Kringles currently). I had a feeling was its 1)was not vaping near enough 2)normal analog cravings 3) I was not alternating my flavors. I think I was also being way way way conservative on my pauses between each vape. I was waiting maybe between a half to a full minute between. Still hanging.

I hate to admit this, but even after a yr of not smoking, I still crave it on occasion. Nature of the beast but it does get WAY better in due time. Also, keep strong on the Three's- third day, third week and third month. Not sure why but got advise as a noob about this and they were right. For some reason the Three's are strong nic time frames. Just push though it and vape a bit more when you feel some cravings.

Doin a lil better today, I think part of the problem was my first attempt left me making very tentative draws so I was not truly "hitting". Plus add in mouth inhaling was not in my smoking technique what so ever made me start coughing if I inhaled to deep. Increased the "suck" (bring on the wheezal comment here) and am now streaming nice puffy clouds out my nose. Was also the reason I was going through way less juice than everyone said they normally do in a day, I was vaping frequently but it was weak tentative hits, now mid-day and I am 3/4 through my first tank lol
