Just throw some SubZero in there, that will purge all other flavors :D

Seriously dont throw the HX3 away. In a couple of months you might find your taste buds have changed and you might enjoy it.

I know for myself, there are flavors that were terrible to my taste in the first month that I actually enjoy now.

I wont throw it away Toast I have read in so many threads to revisit flavors after steeping. I threw it (rather violently) into the back of the juice drawer. Now I am havin a hell of a time finding unflavored denture tabs. Got equate, nothing bout flavored but opened up n they are frickin mint!!! ughhhhhhhh what tabs did you guys find that are safe to use?

Dave I was trying subzero when this whole the ghost of HX3 visited me.

I caved n put it in the equate ones I have so I am glad to hear Ms Sage that they are fine. I figured man I'll take mint flavored tank over that stuff at this point. do ya dump tank n wick n coil in the denture cleaner as well?
I used to pull the whole thing apart: unscrew the coil, pull out the top wick (the lower has the coil wrapped around it), and toss it all in together. I'd always dissolve the tab in the water first.

well phase 5, guess I'll do a half tank of the sub-z with the hint of the evil juice to see if that kills it dang man <hangs head>

the residual flavor you are mostly getting is in the coil/wick btw. IMO if it really offends you so badly, throw it away. I give it repeated near boiling water baths. Then let it dry out, dry burn, then repeated near boiling water baths again. That is how I clean all my halo coils, I never get residual flavor.

Yep. Take it apart and dump it in there. The solution will smell minty while it's working and less minty when it's done. Again, once you take the parts out of the solution, rinse with hot water and they dry, no minty smell. At least that my experience.

I took the wicks out of the coil Fallen. Offended isn't it. Its not that bad but with being new I want to give each flavor I try a fair shake and the left over residual taste of the HX3 is messin with that. I however completely forgot dry burn BEFORE doing any cleaning <facepalm> If that doesnt do it I'll perma label this tank my super menthol tank and just use it for those.

You'll be an old pro in no time. Sometimes the hobby, juices and techniques in vaping can get in the way of the first objective ... getting and staying off tobacco. Everything else will come with time. There's a lot to learn and each person reacts differently to their juices and gear.

For example, six months into vaping I developed a serious allergy to PG that got worse and worse once it started. Was a horrible experience but I was determined not to smoke a cigarette. With the help of the good people here, we figured out my issue and I'm happily vaping along on my 100% VG. Others have even other issues and VG allergies. For some weaning off tobacco is a must for success and others never had tobacco again. It's a very individualized experience and discouragement at times will be a part of it. You're off to a great start.

OK how long do you guys usually have to soak a "strong" juice to get rid of it in a tank. Its been in the alcohol for a few hours n I can still pick up a faint wiff of the HX3

this is traumatizing, I feel like Dumbledore trying to get a good every flavor bean, please let this be minty menthol goodness juice...............nope I got boogervomit......

Dry burn and then a good overnight soak in some cheap vodka or PGA (pure grain alcohol ...like Everclear) followed by drying will usually clean out any residual flavors (and isn't toxic like rubbing alcohol) but still evaporates fast and leaves tank/coil/wicks ready to rock and roll on to the next flavor! ;):headbang::2c:

from memory, as the cabin loses pressure by design when it's at altitude, air escape from the tank, then as the plane comes in to land and the pressure increases, air moves into the tank and pushes some juice oot.
if you have the tanks half full and put them in the seat pocket in front of you up right, they shouldn't leak.
how have you been slave? there's a new competition for you to enter if you're keen
