Have the increased shipping costs due to the loss of USPS as a carrier curtailed your ecig spending? From personal experience I have cancelled out of several orders because the additional charges have made me reconsider if I really need the item(s). I would be interested in hearing how others have dealt with this. Also feedback from the vendors on how their business has been affected.

I have been trying to just use what I already have. I also mix my own juices. I've cut way back on nicotine trying to eliminate it altogether. I still look at things, but won't order with the craziness with the shipping. The items I may buy are not banned by USPS, like batteries, flavorings, VG, PG. I have enough wire for years of coil making, and use rayon for Wicks and enough of that to last 10 lifetimes.

I haven't bought from any US based seller since March. I've been stocking up since 2015. The only purchases I've made since March have been mainly from Europe and a few from the Far East.

If you need gear look at Fasttech, Sourcemore or Health Cabin. All have decent prices. None require an adult signature. Each has raised their shipping prices over the last few months. Now is the time to get what you might need.

For juice, consider going DIY. It's far cheaper than any commercial juice. PG/VG and flavorings will always be around.

I think you should always think about whether you really need something or want something as bad as you think you do when you get to the purchase page. I am however, not a person that heeds this advice very well. I'm a bargain shopper though. I don't buy single items here and there, so shipping hasn't been all that extreme for me. I understand buying a $15 pod kit coming to a total of $29 is a bit absurd. But if you buy other kits, mods, atomizers, coils, etc. and the S&H comes to $20 or $25, I don't think that's too bad. You might have to play around with your cart a bit to make sure you're not being bumped up into the next shipping bracket - that can often lead to an instant $10 S&H fee increase just for a bigger box. A really good sale can often negate the S&H cost altogether - you just need to have the patience for the right sale to come around.

My biggest gripe with the new ban is that rerouting through different carriers has extended the time to ship often by 10-20 days coming from overseas. I don't mind waiting on a really good deal, but waiting potentially 50 days is a bit crazy. Also, missing a delivery allows you to pick the package up from USPS - that isn't always going to be possible with private carriers and I would absolutely hate to see something I've waited a month or two for, to get returned to sender. Luckily my last two packages have arrived via UPS (say what? I know...). One of which had ohm information plainly stamped on the outside of the package.

3 of my 4 packages ordered in early October are being shipped via USPS still. I have yet to figure out what's really changed from ordering overseas other than longer shipping times through "other carriers" and yet the postage is still being directed through USPS. A slight cost increase, but negligible for the most part.

If the S&H is deterring you from making the purchase, maybe that's an omen. :)

None of the new shippers ships to my town. SO ordering anything that way us a no go.

I wouldn't anyway because I highly disagree with the required name/purchase report to the government part of things.
I fully agree. The government is controlling everything these days, I sure don't need my name on a report to them.

Is anyone finding that they are going to the local B&M where they would't have before?

No, my last order was from FT and I used their free shipping. It only took about three weeks. I got another order pending from FT, also from FT, free shipping. Let's see how long this one takes. I found out in the past it doesn't matter if you pay for shipping or not, it takes the same amount of time to get to you.

I’m one of the few long term vapers that doesn’t DIY anything, so although I purchased a boatload of stuff prior to March, I find myself still buying juice when I can get a great deal. End up spending about $70-100 and I’ve purchased from a few different vendors. My postman always signs for me and I don’t believe any of my purchases was more than $11-19 shipping. I’m so paranoid that I’m gonna run out before I’m ready to, so I’m still buying stuff while I can.

It's not so much the shipping cost stopped me from buying vape from US vendors but the fact that I believe that my name and purchase data may be divulged to the ATF and kept in a database as a terrorist vaper.
I'm not too worried about the ATF.....I've legally bought nicotine and firearms as my rights. I'm more worried about the IRS....

I'm a long time vaper that never DIY'd anything until literally 2-3 months ago because I panicked about the new regulations - I ordered enough NIC for the rest of my life (and someone else's) lol.. About 2-3 days into it - I realized how much money I've been wasting on juice and how I should have done this 10 years ago... Even if you never plan on DIY'ing - buy 2-3 liters of NIC just in case you need it.. Flavorings, VG/PG will always be available without a nasty tax. Get it while you can!!

Prioritize what might not be available to you in the very near future, first. Nic, first and foremost, for sure if you're even slightly considering the notion of DIY'ing juice. Are you settled on mods, tanks, and coils? Are you still exploring? There are a few suggestions available if so.
