I realize this has probably been talked about already....but going from organic cotton balls to this stuff is NIGHT AND DAY!!!

I have never seen or used a more absorbent wicking material ever! It also has NO TASTE at all. No need to boil etc.

If you haven't tried this you owe it to yourself to go get some! For $11.00 a bag....worth every penny

The fibers are made to go all in the same direction, so cut it with the grain...and man oh man will it ever wick! I have YET to get
a dry hit once with this stuff no matter what the build.

I have to say, it's amusing for me to see all these high-end face pad names on the forum. I'm a fan of makeup, and I'm familiar with most of the brands. The most-recommended pads ARE the Shiseido for face as they need the least care to be amazing and the coating is nearly non-existent.

Makes me pretty excited to start an rda setup as an excuse to buy a stack of them

maybe you cut your strip against the grain?

I bet thats what I did. I cut it the short way thinking "i bet that will be just the perfect amount for two wicks" I used about maybe an 1/8'' and left it fluffy so thats probably it

I was doing it in my car though because I was excited. Ill have to give it another shot, thanks!!

It looks a lot like the Koh Gen Do that I have been using. Thank you, I will check it out. That is what I like about reading these posts........you always learn something new. Happy wicking to you. :)
It's exactly the same as koh gen do, in fact I suspect that both companies source these sheets from the very same distributor, which they don't produce, they only slap their branding on it. I prefer shiseido because it's a couple of bucks cheaper for about three times as many pads, but even more importantly, because it's MUCH EASIER to obtain ie I can actually find it in local beauty supply shops, opposed to koh gen do, which is even difficult to find in stock online

how tightly do you need to roll the pads? I used something similar and had to drip even when the wick looked wet or I would get a dry hit. (I was given a sample and didnt watch a how to video just used my knowledge of cotton and rayon to guesstimate, and apparently missed the mark lol)
Just youtube koh gen do, there are several videos

ya, I thought it was kind of strange at first too, but it makes sense once you think about it. Both circumstances call for the same criteria ie an absorbent, pure, untreated/no chemical, resilient cotton pad that won't fall to pieces in rough conditions.
Btw, you probably hear this quite often, especially in vaping circles since it's especially uncommon, but you're beautiful

I have been using it for a few months. I split each pad in 1/2 and use the longer side for wicks. I cut them just a bit wider then the diameter of my coil. They tolerate heat much better than organic cotton in my opinion. 11 dollars. Can't imagine the next time I will have to buy them again.
