shock from mod?

Just got a used hcigar chi you in great shape. Took apart the switch to check out the upgraded magnets and cleaned. Later I could have swore I got a shock. Continued to vape and another shock. What did I do wrong? Bat is an 18650, positive button up towards Atty, igow single coil at 1.6. No shorts in Atty same coil for months.

Check if the battery isn't peeling, if it's peeling quite a bit and there's metal showing it could be in contact with your tube

No pealing or any marks, it was a brand new battery yesterday(efest). I'll put in the original AW and see if i get the same. I did notice when I took it apart under the bottom contact there was a small metal ring, kinda like a home made washer. I checked videos of magnet upgrades and didn't see anything like it so I took it out.

*Update* Put the original AW and haven't seem to have any shocks yet. Is this common? My searches have turned up very little.

no way to get an electrical shock from a 4.2v power source, you can get burned, but not shocked

I've heard of this before just don't remember what it was yet.. If I remember I'll let you know, but it does have to do with the switch or negative grounding in someway I believe.

it could be called "thermal shock". Happens to my atmizoo roller when firing.

The washer you see is likely the magnet. They are virtually indistinguishable just by looking at them.

Wasn't the magnet. This one has 4 under the base. This little metal circle was between the base and neg post.
