Hi
i got a obs cheetah II last month and know there seems to be a short circuit when i use 2 coils at the same time, which its made for. If i only use one coil it does work on both sides. I have tried new coils and cleaned the connection to the mod. can anybody help?

Which mod are you using?
What is the resistance of each coil you are using?
Did the cheetah work on this mod when you bought it last month?

Take particular care in your coil build, I think maybe you are overloading your mod as 2 coils are half the ohms of the single, take a look at a few threads here and might help you out, a member might come on pointing to the threads to get you up and running

What's the ohms of the single coil, most mods will display a short circuit if the rating goes below the mods

they are both .15 but i have been using the same type of coils for over a month and suddenly it doesnt work

.15 will give you a short the moment you pair them as it will be below your rated mod settings, most probably 0.1,the pair will be below that at 0.75 so won't work

Maybe your tank is something wrong, what was the ohms when you paired them together

0.15 ohms each? Are they pre-built coils? Understand there will be a variance in resistance between coils. 0.15 ohms with one, maybe 0.14 ohms with another as an example. Possibly even less, or possibly even more. Such variance could very well lead to falling outside your devices capabilities.

What coils are you using and what is your device?

i changed my battery and now it seems to be working

Be careful, very careful that you are not overstressing the battery - nasty things can happen...

Agree with @Falconeer . I find it strange the battery is the result of a short circuit error. Unless this error has other meanings with the device you are using.

I think he certainly stressed out his old battery and its knackered now, but the new one is playing for him, very bad, you are lucky it did not blow up,check out ohms law and the cdr rating for the battery you are using

Most likely you will continue to have issues. Do you really need to use a pair of coils with that low resistance? Just use different coils a bit higher in resistance. Your battery will thank you. More details would help... what mod, RBA and battery are you using.
BTW, do you use an external battery charger?
