Should I check ohms on a new coild with my mvp 2?

You know, I even read your OP like 3 times because I wanted to be sure what you were asking.

Absolutely! I use my VV V3.0 for the same thing. Works very well.

It's safe. The MVP2's reader is accurate. I only use the reader on my provari for builds, but when I had the MVP2, I used that.

Wouldn't spend the bones on an ohm reader if you have one built into your device

The mvp and vv are both more accurate than my actual DMM. I have to subtract .5 from all of my measurements on it due to the resistance of the leads, and it's a cheap one that doesn't zero out properly. I figure, if I'm getting the same measurement on my mvp an on my cheap multimeter with some math, I know I'm on.
