I bought a VV ego a month or so ago, and it has worked fine, last night I let a friend of mine borrow it while we were out, and when I got home I put it on the charger, about 30 mins later I come back to check on it and I can smell a burning smell, and I unplugged it. I noticed the USB wall plug thing was hot, so I chucked it right away, I also noticed I had tried to charge it with the wrong charger from what I usually use, I think its an SLB 510 charger, but it looks just like an ego charger, and the only way to tell is by reading the writing on the label, I chucked it to, I don't have those Batts anyways. The battery wasn't hot, and it seems to work fine, but I don't know that much about this stuff. Still learning. So...should I just chuck the battery or is it a nonissue?

Sounds like the charger was overloaded.

If the battery is working, it is most likely fine.

Be particularly cautious when attaching it to the correct charger.

Me, myself, and I, the three of us would be ordering more batteries and a charger just in case. All of us agree that being without backups of our backups just leads to problems.

This is my backup lol, but yeah I am going to buy another charger. This was my first step into VV after having this for a week I bought a Probation, so yeah this is my back up that I keep around for just in case or when I am somewhere that having a probation and clouds of vapor would get me in trouble lol

I put a dab of nail polish on the battery and charger to keep them straight.

I also put a dab of nail polish on my carto and juice bottle to keep them straight. My whole world is color coded by nail polish.

I have to agree with Hoosier, beards and nail polish don't mix
