I got into the world of vaping, albeit short lived, about a year ago. My ego starter kit stopped cutting it and I went back to the cigs. After my dad had two strokes in a months time, and my first child made his debut, my desire to leave smokes behind grew. So I upgraded my rig. Currently running the eGo-c twist with the Aspire nautilus mini tank. I usually run my voltage at the max, 4.8, and airflow wide open. It's been good, and has kept me off the real deals for about a month now, but I have that itch to get more vapor and move up again. My smoking urges aren't coming back, but I feel that maybe more would be more satisfying. I've been looking at the possibility of regulated mods, maybe even a mech and an rba. I have researched and researched, know the pros and cons of each; also the safety measures for rebuilds. My question is this: do I sound ready for that next step? And if so, what should I move to? My local B and M shops I visit have recommended a couple regulated, but they have pushed me towards them basically to keep me running my nautilus. Any input? Ideas on good mods to look at on a limited budget? All input is appreciated greatly!

Yes you are ready; once you've been off cigs for a month, I'd say you're pretty much committed.

I'd recommend definitely a regulated mod with replaceable batteries;
standard low cost options are the svd, vamo, zmax
I use vamos mainly and I have a zmax for backup, plus I've got a mech with a kick for final backup.

I've been recommended the MVP2 by one of my local shops. Another said it was good, but he really pushed the DNA 30. I can definitely wait some time, simply because I must due to finances lol. But want an idea of what I want to do. I'm leaning towards regulated mods that will allow me the option to use rebuildables at some point to get my feet wet before jumping on a mech really, which is what has been suggested time and time again. Where could I find some info on the upcoming mvp3??

I use my rba on a vamo regulated mod all the time

My opinion is MVP2 or VAMO V5

I would like to use rdas at some point, when I'm more comfortable at building coils, but with as much driving as I do commonly it seems dripping always would be too difficult. Something I could drip with effectively, but run a tank on would be great. Of course, I know a mech will run rbas which use tanks also I do believe. This is what leaned me toward mechs, which I really dig the overdose mod with the copper connections and such. Want to get a feel of good devices though, especially inexpensive but at least decent.

My kayfun 3.1 can be run as a dripper by just not screwing on the fogchamber+chimney, and 2 of the outer tank sections.

A lot of people recommend Reos for mech mods. They have a juice bottle built in, so that you can feed juice into your atomizer whenever you need. Seems pretty convenient, especially if you are on the road a lot. I may invest in that in the future.

As far as a regulated device, I don't have much experience at all, but I did recently purchase a Sigelei 100w and enjoy it very much. I probably won't ever vape past 60w (vaping anywhere between 17w - 60w), but I do really like the fact that it houses two 18650 batteries, so it lasts me around 3 days.

I'll be having to wait, thanks to finances, so the mvp3 may be my device. As for now I run 24mg juice at all times. But, not using a dripper or lower resistance atty makes that easy. I've read that lower resistance can make higher nic juices a little overpowering.

I've been vaping 24mg nic since day one. It was a little difficult back when I first started to vape. But, now of course you can get it anywhere. In fact, I just make my own these days.

I have no desire to use less nic as so far there is no solid proof that its dangerous. And, by vaping I've escaped all the toxic crap in analogs. I understand that some people vape as a cessation method. I'm not one of those people. I like my nicotine and the comfort of a good throat hit.

With that said. If you're having cravings with 24mg juice then I'm not really sure that your equipment is the issue. Have you tried another brand of juice? 24mg of nic is like smoking 2 packs of cigarettes except that the nicotine level is consistent throughout the day. For example, when I smoked analogs I would get a craving for a smoke inside of 2 hours. While I vape, I can put my rig aside if necessary (rarely happens) for hours.. and I'm fine. I'd rather chain vape.. but I don't go all numb and drooling like I did when I smoke 1.5 packs of analogs each day and had to work an 8 hour work day with only a smoke during lunch. XD
