Should I move to mech from regulated mod?

Hi all... need some advise here. I am a regulated mod user from my current setup from a humble ego -> gssub -> vamo -> VTR and a coming soon Hana mod clone from FT. My question as per the title, should i move to mech after trying regulated mod? I am an avid reader and I know the risk on using a mech. I myself is personally using vtc5 on my vtr just to be on the safe side and I do vape at 0.8 ohm on my vtr itself. :vapor::vapor:

Is the vape experience / feels better on a mech?

If you own both a mech and a regulated device, will be great if you give me some advice. Thanks :)

I am in Malaysia.... and the spareparts are hard to come by and expensive locally for mech(cuthroat price due to excahnge rate... USD3.2 to MYR 1).

expensive for a mech?
You must mean a fancy mech.

A mech by definition, is a simple device.

If you already use regulated devices, a mech is great for backup. Get one that takes a kick along with your regular batteries and you're in business

I'm a regulated mod man myself. My DNA 30 clone gives me a consistent vape from new battery to dead. If I screw up and short the atty it (hopefully I'll never know, but...) shuts it's self down. It tells me the amount of battery I have left and won't let me damage my batteries by over discharging them. The price of a regulated device is more but....

The mech is a battery with a switch. So the vape at 4.2v is not the same as a vape at 3.3v. If you atty shorts you risk harm to yourself and your device.

OBTW I own two Private V2s but still use my DNA 30 as my ADV

Yup... fancy mech as you named them...I like the design on most of the mech..... its just killing me for not buying.. for example this mech here panzer clone is already around USD 40+ whereby my coming soon Hana is only $56...

I use a VTR and a mech.

The mech I mainly use for dripping (due to the power limitations with the VTR).

But you have a 30W device coming, so you should probably wait and see whether that satisfies your need for a more powerful vape.

But my main question remain? Is the experience better? Will Hana replicate the experience of a mech due to its higher wattage capability?

It depends on how low resistance that you want to build. It will be the same as a mech (or better) for coils > 0.6ohms. (29.4Watts on fresh mech battery VS 30W on Hana)
For coils < 0.6ohms mech is best (0.5ohms = 35.28Watts @ 4.2V)

I think i am clearer on this. As long a regulated device can produce the wattage we want, we still can experience the raw power of a mech. So i assume i am safe to say I should wait out my FT hana for now and wat for IPV v2 100wt down the road if i need more power for sub-ohming.

** Thanks for all the replies :toast:
