PG is very watery, but has a better Throat Hit.
VG is like Syrup, has less throat hit but great big ol' clouds of vapor. It alone can eventually clog up stuff.
Personally I order one of each, and mix them myself in a third container, plus I have each of them if I JUST want throat hit, or just want big ol' clouds. Plus I can add other flavors to that mix if I want to (like 45 pg tobacco 45 vg tobacco and 10 apple, or menthol, or vanilla).
Hope that helps.

Neither at 100% unless you are just ordering some starter liquid to arrive with your kit or are in a country where you can't buy from US juice mixers. For your first juice PG is OK - may be harsh on the tongue and throat or even lungs but will let through nicotine TH the most (and that is why it is harsher). 100% VG will dull the TH a lot.

Some popular ratios are 70pg/30vg or 80pg/20vg for a bit more TH. The VG part smoothes it out a bit to not be irritating and adds more visible vapor. Also thickens it a bit so it may stay in the cart or carto better than 100% PG. FreedomSmokeUSA offers a variety of ratios on many standard size juices ($4 and up) and backwoods Brew is 70/30 and many other vendors offer PG/VG blends.

BTW - the mods want everyone to have their location in their profile.

Im a big fan of primarily VG based juices with low nicotine content. I like the thicker vapor with slightly less throat hit, primarily because I vape fairly constantly all day and a harsher, higher nic content vapor becomes too much for me after a while. I like to keep a low level nic buzz going, and the higher content juices get me light headed when I inhale too much too fast. Then again, I was only a half a pack a day smoker.
I have a bottle of Johnson Creek 100% VG on the way, and I'm curious too see how I like it. It is true that the thicker VG juice can gum up your atty faster, but I just keep a rotation going of one atty being cleaned and dried and one in use.

I am new to the vaping world and so recently ordered both VG and PG not sure which one I would prefer. I have only been off analogs for 3 weeks (wahoo!!) so I have some advice.

The only thing I really missed initially when switching over to e-cigs was the throat hit. (I was smoking safe-cigs). When I got my ego I bought both forms of liquid and tried the VG first. It produced more vapor than the safe-cigs (I was now using a Joye eGo) but felt pretty much the same. Then I tried the PG.

You know that moment in movies when a moment of pure delight happens and the character hears the sound of a chorus ringing down from the heavens? Well that was how I felt. More or less after using the PG. That is the liquid for me. I love a really good throat hit and honestly the vapor production matters very little so long as it feels good and right. But regardless I do get a very good amount of vapor anyway.

So if throat hits are important go for the PG all the way.

You must be my long lost twin : that's exactly how I feel.

But maybe it depends on the kind of cigs you used to smoke..?. I wonder about that.

I smoked camel filters and if I had to bum a camel light from someone I'd rip off the filter and smoke it straight. I can't handle the weak TH that I get from VG, it's like smoking a "light" to me.

Funny because I was a parliament light smoker. But I still crave a throat hit beyond anything else.

I am getting ready to order some E-Liquid and I have the choice getting PG or VG? What's the recommendations?

I started with PG since most e-juice flavors are made with PG but found that I had some kind of allergy attack like the kind I get in the spring with blurry, running eyes and nose, etc. so I swithced to VG and am now making my own to increase my flavor variety. Bottom line is to try both and see which one you prefer.

ditto! I made sure I bought 5 attys and 5 cartomizers for that same reason. Rotation
