Just wondering when you change batteries in your devices should you power them down or does it matter if you don't. Been using my Vamo and I have been turning it off when I change the batteries but I was just wondering. I love this thing because I use it ay home with a ProTank and it's a vapor machine with pretty good taste as well. Thanks in advance.

I think you'll be fine just taking the batteries out. I don't know that I've ever turned my mods off on a battery swap and they seem to be fine. Some off my mods don't even have an option to turn them off.

The usual rule about turning off electronics prior to battery change-out stems from data loss for processors and/or small power surges possibly caused by moving the batteries on the contacts. I feel like it's just branched out to include all things electronic.

Also, welcome to the threads.

I don't think you can really turn most regulated mods off, you might lock the fire button or let the screen go off, but the chip is still powered looking for any button presses.

With my VaporShark, I just pull the battery and stick a new one in, doesn't seem to hurt anything.

Good point - it's not really powered down through the switch, just um... shall we say "disabled"? So, really, it doesn't matter since the only way to really power it down is to remove the battery.
