Also, I don't want to derail this thread but... I consider myself very educated (what with my multiple degrees and all. Boom! Self high-five!) and I have no concept, still, of the diff between a commonwealth and a state.
What does it say about the educational system when one can have multiple degrees, yet Google is beyond their capabilities?
Honestly there is no difference now, but there was a time where it meant established through common consent of the People and governed by the People. I like to believe there is still a thing called the Consent of the Governed, using Commonwealth reminds me where we started...."and if you don't know, know you know"
