Got order confirmation today for #415. Not sure on my configuration though. I like the polished brass main tube with polished ss accents.

Anybody got any tips for what configuration would be best give that I like the polished brass main tube with polished ss accents?

Just so folks know, Pedro has decided that Caravelas with the * numbers can NOT buy any extra parts unless you also have the original number.

Previously he said it was ok, but I think it has turned into something he didn't intend, and he just posted the policy.

This is just for info ... I am not saying it's right or wrong, it is not my decision ....

Makes sense. He loves what he does, but without that policy, "Spare Parts" could be a never ending process and I'm sure he would like to move on to some other plans at some point. It would make sense to me to allow replacement parts for * number Caravela, if the original damaged part was sent in. That might help prevent further proliferation but not deny an aftermarket purchaser the opportunity to keep his or hers working.

Oh, and I did it Blu. This evening, I got juice on my fingers. I thought somehow it was leaking past the atty or something, and I was inspecting it, and then I saw it, and my heart sank. I cracked my Pyrex tube somehow. Hairline crack running from top to bottom. I don't know how to tell Pedro. It fell over on a hardwood table earlier, and that must have done it. Had it been a shorter tube, it wouldn't have landed on the glass so hard. Methinks I have to reconsider using it on an 18650 tube. Good thing I have the original SN, because I'm thinking I need an 18500 tube and those 2ohms, asap.

On a brighter note, it looks DAMN good with the SS sleeve too though.

moueix - I can see tubes, but no more buttons. The buttons seem to be the fly in Pedro's ointment.

so that i can have different engravings on the switch without having to pay the full 75 euros for the whole switch

im still happy that i ordered all 3 tube sizes

i just dont know what is holding up my #325, it's still not ready to shipped yet.

I would like one with a C+ on it, but I am not gonna mail my whole switch .... the mail hates me, and has lost somethings in the past.

Mine is coming with the Portuguese cross engraved on the bottom . My grandfather served in the Portuguese air force, and the only pic i have is of him next to his plane with this logo on it.

but it would be nice to be able to have a second button with the C+, to be able to switch it up once in a while...
I don't need a second full switch with the * on it...

it is just a hope, more than anything else. But Pedro seems persistent to sell the switch as a whole. I wont argue with that.

I haven't exactly been too quiet about my feelings on this matter. I am glad he made the decision to protect his original intention that the "*" be spare parts only and not treated as it's own unit. And that he clarified it once and for all.

So I got my invoice the other day #410 but wanted to make sure I got it right way I want it, does anybody know what "signature on snr" is? and do you have a pic so I can see if I like it?

The 3rd one has the sig on the serial number ring (snr) ..... it's Pedro's signature.

Yes, on the other side .... that Caravela has the ship and"Caravela" with the serial # on the other side like the 2nd and 4th ones .... that is the "back side" in the picture.

I agree. Though I love both of my Caravelas, the one with the signature on the serial number ring is extra special.

It is true, there are so many options now, and so many ways you can make each Cara a little different ..... but all special.

That was the major problem I had with ordering one, all the different options you had. I placed my order one way then saw one on here I liked so I changed my order, and again and again. I bet you I changed my order 4 different times in the course of waiting for it.

I think that's probably average. Poor Ko4ik must go nuts, but I'm sure he understands. Great guy, I see why him and Pedro get along.

I totally agree with that and thought it a bad idea when he allowed it. People buying extra * then selling them off for more - nice little business for them. Not nice and now is ruined for all. That is the nature of the greedy human

Hey M - I think the SS tank looks much better, after you get use to it, you will use it all the time.
