It comes w/ the serial number engraving. If you want like the big 'C' on the bottom of the switch button, which many do, that's extra.

I see. I was confused because many of the orders, mine included, have, on the far right "names and images" column, the #512 etc.. Is that an additional # engraving that costs money?

Here is example:

I recently switched SN with vaporooski (who is AWESOME, btw, ty vaporooski) and during the switch the #512 was added under the names and images section. If the SN 512 is already going to be on the mod, I don't think I need to pay additional monies for additional SN engraving...

I could be wrong, but it looks like the guy that had #512 before you indicated he wanted extra engraving... Which comes at additional cost. Looks like he wanted "VaporHead" engraved on the 18650 tube and "No Smoking" on the 18500. Now that #512 is yours, unless you still want those phrases engraved on those tubes (again... at additional cost), I would write Pedro and ask him to remove the extra engraving.

The standard engraving that comes with all Caravelas, at no extra charge, is the ship and the name "Caravela" on the tube(s), and the serial number on the lower ring. Those come with the price of admission. Everything else is extra.

I suspect you've already done this, but I would make sure that the metal combinations are as you would like them too.

Not sure which "Additional number" you're referring to. It MIGHT be this.... I've had number 52 since August or so. I could send in one of my tubes (I ordered both the 18350 and the 18650 tubes when I ordered number 52) and get an additional top cap and button assembly made that would have then have the number "52*" on it. Since all Caravelas have unique serial numbers, the asterisk indicates it's an “additional” number 52. You have to send a tube back so all the engraving is indexed and lines up. The end result is I would then have two complete Caravelas instead of one complete unit and an extra tube.

More recently... I ordered the same two tubes (18350 & 18650) with number 185 that's somewhere over the Atlantic right now. I also went ahead and ordered another top cap and button assembly that will be numbered “185*” so I'd have two complete units... And NOT have to send a tube back at a later date.

Could that be what you're thinking or interpreting as the “additional number" people are ordering?

Hmm ok so you're saying if I don't pay 10 extra euro I don't get the SN512 on the second ring I ordered? The pic turned up kinda small but if you can see I ordered what is basically 2 Caravelas (2 tubes, 2 connector parts, 2 button, 2 locking ring, 2 ring with SN), maybe that's what the "#512" is over there in the names and images section?

You never pay extra money for serial # engraving - that is standard. If I were you I would e-mail ONLY - caravelamods@gmail.com and have the extra engraving noted removed. Otherwise your tubes will say Vaporhead and No Smoking. Also it shows a drip tip ordered.

Can you tell me how much to add this extra? I am ordering 3 tubes and that would be a great option for me! 2 complete units is fine by me!

Here's the link for the spare parts order form. Pretty sure you have to be an existing Caravela owner in order to be able to use this order form. If you don't currently own one, but are on "the list" that MAY suffice... You'll just have to check with Pedro.

I don't own one yet , and when I emailed Pedro wondering about this, he just told me to add what I want to the "unique wishes of quantity and material of tubes" section of the Caravela order form. So I was able to order the 2nd connector part, button locking ring, ring with SN... Be detailed in your request and you should be good.

Does it really come out to the cost of 2? I didn't realize. I guess it makes sense though.

In my case, I have SN 512 so there's no way I want a separate number.

Jager, we certainly do sympathize with your plight. Unfortunately, these things happen. You will have joy when she docks. If lost, I am sure Pedro will expedite a replacement. He's a classy and caring guy.
