Finally decided to set up the DoodleBug ... it is running really well, seems really nice. 
How do you make your brass tube looks tarnished like that? I tried mine using a vinegar with salt, it looked tarnished, but still looked goldish yellow?
That's just from being in my hand.
My brass in the beginning was turning really yellow, so I polished it a lot. (the yellow was an icky yellow)
Then I started using Sharkhide to polish it, and now I don't get the yellow. More of a brown like the LE JMs .... not sure if my hand chemistry changed, the weather, or if the Sharkhide has anything to do with it.
That is the only thing I can think of that changed.
Oh I see, makes sense. Yeah, its probably the natural way of being tarnished.

Vela Latinas paid for....going to give these guys a shot. Haven't used dripping atties since I switched to RBA's last year. I was a exclusive dripper until that point though.
expect a long wait...mine went for paid for to prepping to ready to sail at which point I was told by Pedro it would be in the mail the following day. next thing I know it says in prep again and now about 10 days later it says ready to sail again...

Really nice, Marob! I think my stainless brushed sees almost as much duty as my little shiny brass sidekick. I really appreciate the silky feel of it, and the fact it requires almost NO maintenance. I still give it a quick polish on polish day usually, only for the discipline.
I've noticed, with all the motorcycling I've been doing lately, that sweaty hands REALLY trash the brass quick! I like mine clean and shiny, so it's NOT a good thing to me, but if you WANT a lot of tarnish, take it to your workouts. I think it'll.. expedite matters.
