Zazie- You sure can smooth it out beautifully by using the micro mesh pad method i keep yakking on about lol!

You can just tape off that area or blend it like I did then follow the instructions. It will be smooth as a baby’s bottom when you’ve finished it!! The key is to just take your time. Start slowly.

I nearly had a heart attack when I started my 1st mod the EOS II. I was positive I had ruined my beautiful mod but nope. It’s gorgeous now.

I’d be happy to walk you through it or I’m sure anyone else here that has experience with it.

Honestly the difference is stunning. If you look at the before and after pics of my Thor it was just the top part (the wood area) that was dull and rough. That’s the only part I polished. Now it blends in with the rest of the mod.

I forgot to take a b4 photo but you can see how dull the wood is on the other side. That’s how it looked. Then you can see how shiny and smooth it was afterwards. I just started the 2nd side.

Beautiful no?!!
Oh, I've been admiring your handiwork! But I wasn't sure that buffing alone would do the trick on the UK Stabwood SL, because I thought it might have some kind of finish on it. If that's not the case, then I'll study your instructions more closely and get hold of some of that micro mesh.

My purple/orange one is from Stabwoods UK too.

Don’t forget to get the renascence polish as well. That’s what’s will make it extra shiny and blend in with the finish on the rest of the mod.

Can you post a pic of the area?

I want to try it, because I think my minikin and Lustro would look so much better glossy, but I’m afraid I’ll screw it up. And those are pricey mods. Maybe I’ll try it on one of the Lunas first, although they all have a perfectly nice matte finish. But they’re $50 and I won’t feel as bad if I goof.

Sadly, no.

Supplies ordered. I found 3x4-inch micro mesh pads on Amazon for slightly less than the ebay ones to which you linked. Thank goodness! I know those 2x2-inch pads would make my hand cramp like crazy.

A little better picture. Looks like a scene from outer space.

I REALLY wish I hadn’t just visited the stabwood UK site. The colors of their new inventory of Minikin V2s are spectacular!! Check them out at your own risk.

I’m going to buy one of the Boosts. There aren’t many around.

Does anyone know why the Minikin Boost Kodama is $329.00 at Asmodus. Com. It’s as expensive as the Minikin V2 Kodama which is a lot newer than the Boost. They’re a lot less expensive at the UK site.

This is the Boost in my cart right now lol!!

Remember that drip tip you offered me a while back, @Fidola13? How do you think it would go with this guy:

Luckily for me, I am--for the moment at least--immune to the lure of dual-battery mods.

Love mine- the EOS 2 battery life is awesome too! I have had mine for almost a year now and one of my favorite mods!

It has the same chip as the minikin v2 Kodama, which works for me. I like the chip in the Lustro also, tempted to snag another of those. The kodamas are a price drop and come out about $170 with the sale. The not-Kodama ones are about $40 on vapor range. Decisions decisions.

I’m still kicking myself for missing out on that Thor. Ugh.

Not interested in the minikin v3 at all. Although there are two different ones, and the flat top one is not too awful. But yikes, that weird shape. Lustro is asymmetrical but it’s very subtle and doesn’t bother me. But I don’t know if I can get used to that v3. Very strange.

The EOS II is really a nice mod for the price- even more affordable than when I bought mine.
I actually own and love 2 of the EOS I, yes more square, but again long battery life and easy to get to the batteries,
great dual battery mod for great prices when I bought mine.
I have and use the Lustro- non Kodama, great prices on those. Still love the minikin V2 and use them daily I have 3
I am trying to talk myself out of the Asmodus Luna- great price, can pick the exact one I want- but I don't need another squonk especially a non regulated.
I haven't seen too many pictures of the Minikin V3 yet, so kind of on the fence with buying one.
I would love to get the Thor II but way out of my price range for now!

I’m still not sure if I like the Thor II. If I wasn’t still a little sad about the first Thor I think I would lol.

I love the Purple faceplate on the ThorII, and have seen some stunning colorways with the Thor II, it's on my radar for sure!
I always get the comments- the Thor I Mod is beautiful, but hate the gold on the Thor I- I am not a big fan of gold myself, but wasn't gonna let that stop me in getting that great mod!

I still can’t get myself to like it. In fact I think it’s a bit hideous now lol! Go to the stabwood UK site and look at all the gorgeous mods! I’d rather put that cash to a higher end mod like a Viscous Ant or something.

But that just my opinion so really who cares lol!!!
