This thread is to show tattoos you currently have or are thinking about getting. I got my first one 10 years ago and currently have 11(but can only show 10 here).
This thread can also be used to tell tattoo stories or anything related to tattooing.
Ok so before I start posting mine I want to post a disclaimer. I ALREADY KNOW I GET STUPID TATTOOS! lol...if you want to remind me feel free to but I love every single one of them and do not regret getting them in any way. They all remind me of great times that I have had in my life. I will post a little story to go with each one.
This is my "first tattoo". I got it in Cleveland on a trip with my ex girlfriend. It is from the Yes album cover Tales From Topographic Oceans(my favorite band).
This is my second tattoo...also from the Yes album Tales from Topographic Oceans. I got it in my friends basement a few days before my first show with my old band The Minotaur What It Eats.
These next two go together. I got them a few months after moving to Pittsburgh. The first is the rebel alliance and the second is Luke and Darth dualing it out lightsaber style.
I got the next one in Florida while visiting the only ex girlfriend I have that I am still in contact was. I stayed with her for a few weeks in Florida and we decided to get tattoos together. GREAT two weeks
. It is the triforce from The Legend of Zelda. The picture makes it look off but it's not. Still though...this was my last professional tattoo
This one is a poke and stick(done with ink and a pin)that I got from my friend Bender. It is a Keystone(PA state symbol)
This is another poke and stick that I got with my band Outclassed in 2007. Everyone in the band got it done by the bass player from the band Friends of Friends. We toured from New York to Florida with them on a 2 and a half month nationwide tour and got these to remember each other. Everyone in the band Friends of Friends also has this tattoo in the same spot. It reads Awesummer
The next tattoo still needs to be finished. I got it while on tour with my band Who Goes There? in North Carolina. The drummer from my band designed it. I call it Tap Cat...and it is what it is...a cat tap dancing on a fence
This next one was the only tattoo I sort of regret...but it is hilarious. I wanted to get the most generic bro dude bro tattoo ever. So I got a huge dragon smoking a edit with 3 ying yang symbols over it and connected the ying yangs with barbed wire. I got this one 3 years ago after consuming wayyyyyy to much whiskey...also don't say it. This one could go on a tattoo fail forum haha. But I like it and it's hilarious.
This tattoo is the last one I got. I was on tour with my band Who Goes There? and got this in Philly. I looked through a friends scetch book(who also happened to be an amateur tattoo artist)and told him to draw something on my and tattoo it. It took 4 hours to do and I didn't see it until it was finished. It's called Sexy Senior Citizen. I had him sign his name under it. This is one of my favorites but it still has some work.
So those are all of my tattoos. Post yours and give us some stories on where you got em, when, and why. All of these tattoos where spontanious. I never thought about it before getting them...I just kind of did. That's how I like it. I don't regret getting any of these and never will. The stories I gave you were very abridged. Every time I look at one of my tattoos I remember a certain part of my life on the road and smile.
