I think these VAMOs (especially the chrome finished ones) are just begging to be wrapped.

I think I want the R2D2 wrap for my VAMO (Yeah I'm a huge dork).


So... I want to see your wrapped VAMO! Show 'em off!

My wife thinks my chrome Vamo that I just received a week ago is just too reflective. So, I ordered a flat black wrap from J-WRAPS. I could not find just flat black. I found black with graphics and carbon fiber black, but I wanted flat black. So I made a custom order for one and Tricia at J-WRAPS obliged. I received an email saying it shipped on Wednesday. I saw the mail truck go past my window a few minutes ago. Maybe the jacket is here. I am going to go check my mail box.

If anyone is interested in making their own skins there are VAMO templates and links for places to get vinyl for skins posted in the VAMO skin templates with multiple configuration options thread. There are also a couple of pix of skinned VAMOs there.

I have seen the templates. They look nice. I chose to go with a wrapper vendor because I did not think I could cut the vinyl to look professionally done - especially the circles. With the machine the vendor uses the holes are cut by a computer. All that I have to worry about is getting the wrap on straight.

klondikes - There are links in the thread to J-Wraps and Vapor Skinz for people who don't want to do their own wraps. DIY is fun for some but can be an unwanted aggravation for others. It's great that there are easy choices for both.

I ordered a black CF from jwraps yesterday. Then today I came across the template. I really couldnt stand the stainless honestly. I wanted black, but i think cf on stainless will look nicer than black with a skin. I have some silver skulls i could use. So it will be redone in a few days again!

Glad I found this thread. I have a Silhouette Cameo and before I ordered a pink carbon vinyl wrap for my Vamo, I thought it was worth it to give it a try myself for $4.99 (For a lot of extra vinyl to practice with). I will let you know how it turns out

I posted links to Silhouette Studio files for VAMO skin templates in the VAMO skin templates with multiple configuration options thread. They should save you some time fiddling with getting the placement for the buttons and screen done accurately.
