Here and back
My 18lb Bengal

....snip....

The pictures really don't do him justice. His fur in the sun looks like spun transparent gold.

BTW, that is HIS couch and in the top pic he is waiting for the water to be turned on. He loves playing in water.

How is his temperament? I've always been fascinated by the breed. Is there a noticeable "wild thing" in him????

Mine is very gentle and is called a F4 IIRC. That means he is four generations removed from a pure ALC. All the F4s ive ever handled were pretty good and seem more or less like domestics. He is even very careful with his claws when we play fight and ive never been bitten. Mine is a bit more nocturnal and insists on drinking with a ripple on the water or a slow running tap. Its a instinct thing with some cats so they are not ingesting "scum" floating on top or drinking stagnant water.

He is very vocal when he wants attention or wants his water bowl filled. I have to keep it in the bath tub or he will spill it just so i will fill it again. :D He love to play fetch if i have a crumpled cig pack. I need to find a good replacement for that now. ;) Something about the crackling sound of the cellophane he really likes. He wont fetch just anything but if he does, he drops it at my feet until he gets bored.

He has very little or no fear of dogs and gets along pretty good with other cats. Doesn't mind strangers that much. He seems indifferent to them. His mother though is totally different and very timid. Not mean but she pretty much does not like anyone. She hates being held but does not bite.

I also have a little feral cat that is a holy terror when she wants to be. They get along great but she hates strangers.

Gotta love those "sibling rivalries!"

I brought Midnight to Dexter Drumlin the other day and she was skeptical about jumping up on the post.
Wouldn't do it.
Once Carmel did she jumped right up with no hesitation. She won't be upstaged by her older sister.

Wait until I get Midnight to a firetower :evil laugh: We'll see who's queen of the forest.

Carmel's ok with Harleys blasting around but hates gunshots, thunder & fireworks.
Some yahoos were shootin' .... in the distance when I caught this shot.

That's about 25' up BTW.
She follows me right up and down like we're going to the basement in the house.

His name is lucky. Found him in shelter a year ago he had a car accident and with a broken hip. Had his surgery and recovered a lot, still limping a bit but nothing can stop his joy except being away from me :(

Aww, my chihuahua is a rescue. he was severely neglected :( I had almost all his teeth pulled because they were rotting out of his head. I have no idea how he even managed to eat, it was really sad. Now 2 years later he's a complete monster terrorizing my house LOL but very very sweet. rescues seem to always know and give you that look like "you saved me"

Gotta get them jumping onto anything I tell them to first. Stone walls, boulders, the couch...um...
Posts and log rails at parking areas are tricky to sit on but if their skinny asses fit they do it.
Tricks are nice but trust and obedience are critical when we hike so practice, practice, practice....

I applaud everyone who rescues. We have fostered over 30 rescues in the past year and got them rehabilitated and into good homes. Bravo rescuers.

We have these magnets on our vehicles and stuck on the fridge too. Love em!!
