I'm not new to vaping I started a year ago with a cheap cig 20 brand I bought at a convenience store, I used chantix and vaping to kick the habit, I then upgraded to a halo G6 and quickly grew tired of the cig alike atomizers. I upgraded to the Halo mini tanks, but quickly grew tired of constantly recharging those little batteries. So I bought a Ego-T system, it fixed my problem with recharging, but gave me a new problem when the tanks constantly leaked into my battery. So I then bought a Kanger Protank hoping to rid myself of wasting liquid and the endless struggle to get a good pull. It has helped some, but unfortunately it still leaks, not as bad but it does leak, and it sucks. I'm really sick of this, so sick I think I may quit all together unless I can get a permanent fix. When I say permanent I mean forever or at least 6 months or more, that is if it even exists. The reason I say that is all my stuff worked like a charm for a few weeks. then the problems came. The G6 mini tank no longer pulls like it used to it doesn't leak but just doesn't produce the vapor it used to, cleaning it hasn't helped a bit. The Ego tanks lasted about two weeks and then sprung major leaks. The Protank lasted about a week before leaking, I changed the coil and it lasted a week before leaking. I'm not rich and I dont want to constantly buy tanks and coils on top of e-liquid, this is not why I quit. One reason I quit smoking analogs is to save money not spend more. Can anyone help? I have searched the web and found nothing but the typical BS about cleaning, dont screw so tight, watch pressure, storing it upside down, and etc etc. For the most part I have found it all to be BS, these things leak no matter what I do, and I'm sick of it. Until someone figures out a way to fix this problem permanently I feel that e-cigs will never fully catch on. I spend countless amounts of time trying to keep these things from not leaking its a total waste of time and effort. If I cant carry this thing around and use it in my normal life then why have it? Is there any tank out there that doesn't leak. Has anyone had one for more than 2 weeks that hasn't leaked at all?? If you have had yours for 3 months or more and it hasn't leaked I want to hear from you. Not that guy who bought one a month ago and (so far it hasnt leaked) not good enough for me. I want a permanent solution!!! I find that in this community there are alot of people who are sellers and dealers and will tell you wantyou want to hear. Also alot of people who want these things to be their saving grace so much so that they try to make them out to be more than what they are. Guys to be frank unless someone fixes this issue these things will never be nothing and will die out, no one wants to spend all of their time recharging and wiping liquid out of their batteries it totally takes the joy out of it all.

Welcome! :D
(try changing editor mode, so your paragraphs appear!)

Everything eventually leaks, but we all work at minimizing it, with more or less success.

You mentioned the Protank, and many people here know how to set it up successfully. Personally I use a Kanger T2, which might leak the first time, but never after I've taken them apart for cleaning. Bonus is they're less than $5 each, so I bought 6 more (there's always one drying out overnight). Replacement coil heads are ~$2 each.

The G6 minitank is intended to be disposable; cleaning it extends its useful life a little bit, but you'd be hard pressed to use one past one month. I have two of those minitanks.

Good luck!

Hello Drummerboy, and welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

There must be some user error involved here. I and most of the people here have not had the issues that you speak of. E-cigs have literally saved thousands of former smokers' lives. Saving money from a former cigarette habit is only a side benefit. You can't put a price on life and health.

I started out with solo cartomizers and clearomizers when I began vaping 1 1/2 years ago. I was not a fan of the clearomizers at that time, having many of the issues you are having. I switched to cartotanks and found my perfect juice delivery device. They have a small learning curve, but if you follow a proven technique to the letter you won't have any problems.

Having said that, I recently revisited clearomizers in the last few months, and they have come a long way. I have tried the Kanger Evod and Protanks, and the Innokin iCear 16 and 30. I had none of the issues you have had. They are still not up to the flavor production of my cartotanks, but close.

There's no way to figure out over the internet what you could possibly be doing wrong. It could be your draw technique or anything else. If you have a storefront e-cig vendor that you could visit within driving distance, perhaps they could help you.

I've written a series of blog articles to help new vapors. Look them over, in particular the ones about juice delivery attachments and the ones on cartotanks.

Good luck and hang in there. We're all here to offer information and support when you need it.

Hi Drummer. Sorry you are having such a rough time.

Things that do not leak. Cartomizers without a tank. Evods. Everything else that I have tried has some tendency to leak. Even evods will leak if you have a stiff pull. Not leak in the sense of pouring out for no good reason but if you have a hard draw style they will over feed and cause liquid to drip out the bottom. I have a few devices that I rotate through. I am an electronics technician so I do stand/squat/bend/all day six days per week. I am the king of breaking tanks off my device, in my pocket. The only carto tank I have had success with(to a point) is the AGR carto tank. Even that I have broken a few tubes on, causing it to leak.

If you take hard draws on the eVod, or protank, or the eGo-t(or -c) atties they will over feed and begin to leak through the bottom. If you do not have a stiff draw, the you may just have gotten a bad protank(or a knock-off) .... If you want a device that does not have the ability to leak get yourself a pack of regular Boge cartomizers(and a drip tip), learn how to fill them properly, keep the topped up, and you will be trouble free. A pack of five brand name cartos can be had for around $7, and they will last(if properly cared for) about 5-12 days depending on how much liquid you use per day(my numbers are based around my own experience, using on average 6-8ml of liquid per day) which is way less money than pretty much any other option available. And also Guaranteed not to leak. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Now when you say leaking, is it just a little bit of juice that sometimes collects on the center pin, or is leaking from the base where you tighten it up and getting all over your batteries?
I've been using Kanger EVods and Protank minis-both version 1 and 2's for the last two months and the only serious leaking I ever had was when I took both flavor wicks out of a coil head for one of my thicker juices just to see how it would perform. I've since only been taking one wick out with that juice and have no leaks except for just a little bit of juice on my center pin that is easily mopped up with a q-tip. Also, I've used only the Protank heads in both.
I CRANK both the coil into the base and my bases to the tanks down. I've read that you're not supposed to tighten the bases down too much. I've never just snugged them 'finger tight'.
Are you using really thin juices? It could be just a matter of adding a little bit more wick.
I promise I'm not trying to sell you anything, just telling you my honest experience with both the EVods and PT minis. Where did you buy them from? Is it possible that they're knock-offs?
I hope some of my information helps.

Drum, I felt like you with my first delivery device which were the vivi novas. I got tired of folks making me feel like I was doing something wrong when infact it was the device's fault. In their defense, they meant well and I did learn somethings but til this day i hate vivi novas or anything with delicate threading.

I'll let others chime in on recommendations of how to fix this deal with your protanks (mine dont leak but they'll sweat from time to time). Just dont give up man. If you started this journey a year ago, you know better than most that this enviornment is evolving at internet-like speeds.

In other words, things are gonna get better more effecient so if you are on your last straw then go back to the analogs and come back later. But only as a last resort. Cause there are other delivery systems available out there but it takes money and time to find what you need.

I drip and I do the carto thing too. And also I play with rba/rda/gennys.

Hi there - I may be able to help as I so recognize and share your frustration. I have tried to edge up the learning curve quickly as swallowing PV is nauseating! I found the kanger mt3 and love live love it. Be sure to use a needle tip to fill and if you leak a little just take a pipe cleaner down through the top - but not all the way down to the coil. I also found that to keep this little gem afloat that you need to invest in an mt3s base (digital ecigs or health cabin has them) so you can use the mt3 s replacement coils. Others with more experience may have more to offer. I would also like advice on keeping these little gems goong as long as possible. So, if you experts out there can jump in, that would be awesome. Good luck with finding a non-leaking solution!

Sorry to hear of your troubles. We seem to have common pitfalls of differing degree. I have never had a Protank leak.....same for the Vivi Nova....I followed baditude's advice and use Smoketech's carto tank .....no leaks. I did have some mimial leaking with the Ego tanks at the start...but in all this the bottom line is this.....smoking a stinkie sucks. I feel your pain and hope you find your answer. Follow some of the wise advice on this forum.....it is worth it. PS I only buy name products.....like Kanger and Vision.....I stay away from knock offs.

I sincerely hope you find something that works for you, but I have to be honest and say that if you are looking for a juice delivery system that is always going to work consistently for 3 months or more without developing problems and needing to be replaced you aren't going to find that in the ecig world today.

Good Luck:)

I have not had any leaks from my G6 tanks. I hate cartos for the very reason that they do leak and I didnt like getting e liquid in my mouth. Charging batteries are a hassle but I just charge the one im not using. I think just getting into the habit just like anything else in your life is key. If you wanna smoke you charge the batteries. I have noticed though that the g6 contact points do get cruddy after awhile and the batteries sometimes don't charge unless you clean the contact heads. G6 for me has been a very cheap alternative with good vape and interesting flavors. I think you just have to be careful with your equipment. Its an electronic device. I still keep all my equipment in the original case when not in use. But I'm .... and cheap about it. If I paid 50 bucks for this thing and another 50 for eliquids this thing has to at least 6 months and the eliquid better last me at least 2 before I have to buy more. I'm trying to make babies here and the added money would help with daycare and such. Just keep going. Figure it out. We can give you all the advice you could possible ever need but in the end we have no idea how you treat your equipment, how you fill it, where you store or carry it around. Hand in there. It gets easier.

I feel your frustrations! All my tanks have little quirks that i've had to learn. I picked up a rda a few months back and its been nothing but worry free vaping. There's no- is my head screwed in just right, taking out a flavor wick- that didn't work so put flavor wick back in,etc. That's just what worked for me. Maybe its a road you may want to look into if you haven't already. Ultimately you should just experiment till you find what works best for you. As you've read, alot of people don't have any problems with tanks, but we do. with any delivery system some people willl have problems and some won't.

They aren't knock offs I don't think, they have Kanger tech tm stamped on them. As far as where it is leaking, it leaks from the small hole, or around that hole in the very bottom where the coil meets the battery. It is not leaking from the seating where it is filled or around the glass and metal parts. I woke up this morning after storing it upside down overnight, a trick I seen posted on a You tube video by Buckethead..lol. I couldn't get a good draw from it, I replaced the coil with the old coil that has leaked before and it acted fine, so go figure. I have tried lots of tips and tricks with it, with about a 60 to 70% success rate. I haven't tried rebuilding it, as for one I don't know how really, and two not sure I even want to learn, I dont do well with small parts. I want something I can buy that will last a while with little maintenance, perhaps I'm just wanting too much here. As as far as liquid goes I buy Halo's often which is 100% PG, and I sometimes buy from another online store that makes 50-50 PG and VG. I have noticed Halo's seems to work better in it, but they both leak regardless. Another thing I have noticed is I can get it working good but if I quit for a while and pick it back up it seems to quit working as much, especially if I'm moving it around alot in the process. I then have to take it off the battery and wipe out the juice on the heating element of the batt. Sometimes this fixes it, sometimes I spend hours trying to get it to work again. At any rate I wll not go back to Analogs, if I quit or try, it will be for good, nic free. As far as my tone, sorry but I'am frustrated with this I feel things like the Protank should last longer than 1 or 2 weeks. I wake up in the morning struggling to get to work on time, this is the last thing I want to do is mess with trying to get some nicotine with my caffeine..lol. Dripping is not for me, it takes too much work and carrying around a bottle of liquid that could leak in my pocket is out of the question as well. Perhaps I'll try an eVod, thanks guys and gals.

I've noticed that with my Protank, 100% PG leaks very easily. I lost about 10ml of a good juice when I first got that tank because of that. at the time it was the only tank I could use it in, too.

Have you tried a different atomizer head? the ones that came with my protank sucked. they all leaked, even with 100% VG. I bought a 5 pack of them and 4 them have been good so far, I'll assume the 5th one will be also. I almost threw my Protank out until I got the new heads, I was tired of it leaking constantly like you were. they saved it for me lol

Hey sorry to hear about your leak issues. For the kanger protanks I haven't had any issues when I was using them. I guess just make sure youdo not leave it in hot places. Like the car in a sunny day and such. Or you are inhaling to hard that the liquid is flooding. I have also had no issues with the ismoka bcc. Hope you find a tank that doesn't leak ..... vape on.

Ok had it working fine, but just refilled it, and it suddenly stopped working after filling it, I took it apart but didn't see any liquid on the batt. Also not gurgling, it has never done that, only the clearomizers that came with my ego have done that. But I have heard something about pressure, perhaps that's whats wrong? After about 10 mins of not working it suddenly began working again...I dont know what's up with it at this point. It leaks and doesnt hit, and it doesnt leak and doesn't hit, and seems to work when it wants to.

CE2-4 style clearos all leak, you will find yourself carrying a square of paper towel with those regardless of age and you will find yourself doubting your filling skills, putting that aside though good ones perform quite well so I would chock that up to the halo mini. The protank, tumbler, EVOD are all bottom coil devices and when your carefull they should be fairly leak free. I fixed the draw on the EVOD with a tiny piece of tape over one of the holes, worked for the tumbler as well which was way to airy. As far as longevity goes a coil can last you a few weeks to month depending on how you vape and what juices your using. The coils can be had for most of the mentioned for very little money in the low impedance realm and will perform better on fixed voltage batteries.
