Hello and welcome.... I dunno, if you call breathing better, having more energy, can taste and smell again, and my hair and skin have never looked better, then yes, I guess they would be side effects.

:)

OMG I know my skin tone is evening out and that dark upper lip I had must've been from smoking because... IT'S GONE NOW!!! (sorry but that part made me REALLY happy).

It’s essentially the same as smoking a regular cigarette, only without many of the poisonous carcinogens that are damaging to our lungs and often deadly to us and others by their second hand smoke inhalation.

The electronic cigarette may in fact come with a risk of some side effects like a sore throat, headache, dry mouth and bad after-taste. In the scheme of things, this seems like a small price to pay to finally be able to successfully quit smoking and to be able to avoid the dangerous risk of lung cancer to ourselves and others.

My first week vaping I had leg and shoulder/upper back muscle pains like crazy. I'm sure it wasn't from not smoking, because I've quit many times in the past for a week or two or longer and never felt anything like that. I'm also positive it wasn't muscle strain. I'm allergic to exercise and therefore avoid it like the plague. After the first week the pain went away and hasn't returned. While I can't be 100% sure it was the vaping, it seems the most likely culprit.

First of all, as I understand it, most of the "side effects" people have from vaping are actually side effects of quitting or cutting back on smoking. If you have symptoms to start with, trying looking up that first.

Secondly, some people do have side effects unrelated to quitting. Sore throat and coughing are the main ones people get, and usually they're happy enough to be off real cigs they push through it until it goes away.

Some people have more serious side effects, but they seem to be a very very small minority, and some of them modify the way they vape, while others just stop and usually go back to cigs.

long story short: most people have very mild side effects if they have any at all. Only a very small percentage of people have major problems. It can't hurt to give it a try with a quality ecig kit under $50.

Bozzlite, it's obvious you haven't smoked analogs in a while, hahah $6.00 a pack? I was paying $9.00+ when I quit 3 weeks ago :) my bank account thanks me!!

LOL, yep 10 months since I bought cigs. But I still look at the prices out of curiosity when I go into the convience store. They haven't changed much.

Cigarettes start out at the same price in every state, it's the taxes that make the difference. I think they are around $12 a pack in NY.
