Article - list of symptoms
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html

From my own experience - headache, dizziness, unwell feeling, rapid heartbeat are common symptoms of too much nicotine

And from vaping 100% pg - dry sore tongue and throat and some people get sore lungs. Of course it depends on how powerful your PV is and how much you are vaping. But I normally vape 70pg/30vg juices now and drink fluids while vaping and no longer have any problem with dry/sore tongue or mouth. 70pg/30vg seems to be enough VG to help many people get rid of irritation. A few people are extra-sensitive to PG and need to vape 50/50 or even 100% VG.

I do burp occassionally but nothing to the point of heartburn.

How much are you vaping, on what hardware, what juice, what nicotine

Well, I am ashamed to say, I was a non-smoker when I started vaping. I had quit almost 5 yrs ago. but still missed it so much plus had weight gain. I thought vaping might just help me to lose some extra Lbs. I mostly use 0 nic, but I do have some flavors with 16-18 nic. I don't use it as often as I used to smoke. But I do enjoy it except for the burning feeling now.

I noticed numbness in my arms and fingers sometime if I over vape. I'm pretty sure its related too too much nicotine, A lot of the kits seem to come really strong. I plan to buy my favorite flavor in 4mg when I'm sitting around on the couch at night so reduce my nicotine intake. I'm sure I'm consuming more nicotine than I was smoking, but its better than me smoking again so....

I've been vaping about 2 weeks now...quit the analogs completely on the 2nd day, but have felt really tired, wiped out really, since quitting the cigs and started vaping. Not sure if it could be too much nic causing it, or my body adjusting to lack of the other chemicals in the cigs? Anyone else experienced this...if so, what do u think the cause might be? Nothing else has changed besides the vaping and no cigs.

its the quitting of smoking and your body adjusting from the withdraw, you may actually want to up your Nic MG a bit, if you where over doing it you would be having trouble sleeping and your heart would be racing from to much Nic

Only side effect I have other then feeling great from quitting smoking now since Sept of 2009 and exercising and getting back into great shape is my heart races a bit at night time from vaping to much and getting a bit to much Nic in me, I need to cut my Nic level down now and its tough to do, started at 36 went to 24mg and now I'm still @ 24MG but everything I either order or make myself now is going to be 18MG from now on until I can cut it down to 12MG

lol @ Swish. Funny.

If I vape too much I have the same rapid heartbeat issues. That helped me choose my nic level in the beginning. As soon as I dropped to a zero mg for my night time chain vaping, everything calmed down.

I can easily gauge those precursor feelings now, so I can fluctuate my nic levels as needed.

The only other 'too much' symptom that I have now, is dry mouth from the pg. I've never heard of the fruity flavors causing anything.

Hth!

Chronic Fatigue. Absolutely! Had the same experience, for almost a month. Three of started vaping at the same time. All of us experienced this, "dead-tired-all-the-time" thing. It was awful. It does pass, and I feel it was caused by withdraw from SO many toxins at once. Even though I didn't feel uncomfortable withdraw symptoms, I'm sure my it was hard on my physical body. I feel SO much better now.

I used to nap or need a nap almost every day as a 1.2 PAD smoker. With 10 hours sleep, I could have taken two naps easily during the first month or so after I started vaping. I think it is withdrawal and/or too little nicotine, because I was vaping low carts or 6mg juice. Now I vape 12 or 18 , sleep 6-7 hours a night and never even think of napping. I attribute my increased energy to breathing better and sleeping deeper. No more crazy dreams either.

At the 2 month mark my problem is constipation, but not sure it's even vaping related. I do drink plenty of water. If it's a withdrawal symptom I'm hoping it will pass soon (pun intended).

Only other side effect is spending too much money on too many juice samples. This too shall pass.

I've only been vaping for about 6 days now, but within a day or two I began to see insomnia at night, followed by feeling dead tired all day (Hence me responding to this post at 3am my time when I have work at 8 ).

But, for the most part I would say I am not getting much of a need to smoke a cigarette but I can certainly feel my body is in serious flux from time to time. I know occasionally I have been chain vaping 24mg and as an ultra light smoker it is just too much. If I settle down to 18 or 12 at night I seem to have less issues with rapid heart beat, floating feeling, overly harsh throat hits.

However, my body is certainly starting to feel the effects of being without those other toxins it relied on and no doubt it will be a bit of struggle for a bit here. I'm assuming it will pass, because aside from those non-frequent moments where I feel uneasy in my own skin...I've already been feeling much better.

Hope you get to that right level for yourself. Also, drink water! I thought I drank a lot of water before I started vaping and I've found that I need about another 3 or so glasses throughout my day now due to my new found love of vaping!

When I was a 3/4 PAD smoker I used to need to nap on a daily basis as well. I had no energy. I chalk it up to the Carbon Monoxide that is produced by cigarettes and not being able to sleep through the night. Now I never take a nap after school or work. I sleep through the night. It's great. One other thing was there toward the end before I quit smoking I was getting migraine headaches at least 3 or 4 times a week. Debilitating ones. Knock on wood, but I have not had one since I quit on Dec. 6th.

I will say that about 2 weeks ago I started having panic attacks for the first time. I blame this on getting too much Nic and still withdrawing from 4000 other chemicals (plus I'm in the difficult phase of nursing school). I had to make a drastic drop from 24-18 about a month ago b/c of racing heart issues and I didn't stay at 18 for long. Now I'm at 12-8 during the day and 6-4 at night and the problem is going away.

I have not had the dry mouth, or the sore throat. I do have some phlegm (not excessive) but I don't think it's anymore than what I had when I smoked. My nose has not stopped running since I quit smoking so I think that has something to do with it as well.

I have smoked 1 pack of Pall Mall Reds for 8 years and when I first started vaping, I was reading that 18-24mgs is for medium to heavy smokers. So one morning I was vaping non-stop on 11mg and 18mg. I started to feel my heart race too fast as well...some ppl said it was because of the "withdrawl"..but I had a few analogs that same morning...hmmm...I then started looking more into nicotine facts, and found that when it comes to real cigarettes, the nicotine they put in each cig is far less (in NO way saying real cigs are safer)..but compared to analogs vs ecig nicotine juice, it does seem that new vapors arnt really aware of how much nicotine they are getting. Possibly because of a few factors:

1. When we smoke a real analog they contain no more then 1.7 mg of nictotine PER ciggarette---so mostly it takes a full pack to get about 20-36mg in one day (which seems to be a clever way for tabbacco companies getting people to buy packs and packs a day. ;) No wonder ppl can smoke 1-3 packs a day and not "overdose" on nictotine most of the time.

2. When we smoke a real analog, we are given a time limit to know when we are done with that cigarette (when the cig gets down to the ...., we oviously tell ourselves "I'm done having a cig break"..(unless you're a chain smoker--like I have been in the mornings)

3. When we vape, we are not really paying attention to any "time limit" (not that we should have to)..but hte confusion of when we are done getting that "buzz" when we see the real cig burning to the ...., we oviously know that was one whole cig, where when we vape, it's hard to know "when" our break is done.

4. When we smoke a analog, we are getting 4,000+ different (and dangerous) chemicals--most unknown, therefore, there are other things we might be withdrawing from that we have no idea why since we are often told that Nicotine is the only addictive chemical in a real analog

5. If someone is using (vaping) on 36mg and using more then 20 drops per day, that might be equivilant to 3-4 packs (although I'm not sure about that, since most ppl can vape that much and have no od side effects), but some ppl have said that 20 drops of eliquid is exactly 1ml of your nicotine juice..so for every 20 drops, you are getting a full dose of 36mg (which is about how much nicotine there is TOTAL in one full pack) --someone please correct me if I am wrong-and I hope I am...sigh...lol..which means that vaping 40 drops (if you're a serious "dripper"), can mean you may be vaping twice as much nicotine levels as you did as a analog smoker. :(

6. Which part of that scares me...I want to chain vape all I want without always having to use 0 nicotine. So my guess is that vaping only 4-8mg MAX should be safe enough for most ppl.

7. I LOVE vaping...but it scares me to get any nicotine overdose, so I wish the makers of the juice would put on each bottle how many mg of nicotine you are REALLY actually getting with each drop, or ml, etc....this would ease my mind...

Overall, I am vaping but still reaching for analogs--but only until I find out the exact right calculations for nicotine levels..since again--I'm one of those scardy cats who is afraid of any type of problems (I have emetophobia--to add,,(a fear of vomitting)..and any type of "nicotine poisening" can cause vomitting, etc...so I'm starting to worry too much about vaping without worrying if I will vape too much nic that will cause those horrible side effects...

Soooooooooo..does anyone know exactly how much nicotine levels we are vaping per drop? Per ml?

I've read on these forums that with vapor we are getting less than 40% of the amount per ml. Vaping isn't that efficient getting nicotine in your system. Check out the threads on people taking nicotine tests for insurance. A typical cigarette has 10 mg of nicotine in it but you only get about 1-2 mg from smoking it. Smoking does bring your nicotine levels up faster than vaping. There is a delay with vaping.

When you are first quitting smoking, I think it is best to get enough nicotine to stop cravings. For 1 PAD it may be 18 or 24 mg, everyone inhales differently. To start I'd recommend getting different levels of nicotine and use the high stuff when you have a craving for cigarettes and the low ones when you are just vaping for fun. Eventually you will find what works best for your style and needs.
