psychicsmokin, you make very good points. You are correct that 1ml of liquid contains the said mg of nicotine on the bottle. Rule of thumb says ~20 drops is 1ml, but that really depends on the viscosity of the liquid and how big the drips are. We were able to control how much nicotine we got from cigarettes too, by drawing longer/harder/more often as well as holding the smoke in. Most of us have many many years of practice and know just how to self-dose on tobacco cigarettes. With e-cigarettes and e-liquid there is a bit of a learning curve for sure. I knew I was getting to much nicotine when I got a bit light headed (this was using 24mg) and vaping too much. I've since gone to 18mg and know I can't chain-vape it or I will get too much nicotine. In the evenings I mainly vape 12mg, but try to only do so when I am having a nicotine craving - not just because I feel like it.
As for dreams, I had crazy, vivid dreams when I would wear the patch at night as well as when I was on Chantix (which binds to the nicotine receptors in our brains). I haven't really experienced that with e-cigarettes though.
