Side Effects

Hi there everyone. I started to use this product about a month ago . I actually gave up Smoking 3 years ago but got addicted to the Nicotine Gum. I thought I would start using the Vapour Cigarette to help me with my cravings still. Thought I will try and save my teeth as I've been chewing the gum for 3 years lol. Anyway I like the product very much but I get quite a bit of heart burn and my voice is sometimes Hoarse, I presume it's some sort of side effect from the vapour. Just wanting to know if anyone has had the same problems as me? My Daughter keeps saying to me that they are bad for people but there is no scientific evidence to prove this. Thanks for reading. :)

What's the PG/VG mix on your liquids? PG in particular can be a bit harsh and dry out your throat (VG does as well, but not quite as much, IMHO).

Also you should be drinking water continually (drink a lot!) as vaping does dehydrate you, which could be causing your symptoms.

Oh, and Welcome to ECF! Enjoy your stay here!

Hi babalicious.

I was near Willenhall this morning.

Your daughter is right to be worried (for you) about it, but at the moment there is plenty of evidence to suggest it is safer, by a long, long way.

14 stated reasons E-Cigs are safer then "Fags". | ALL ABOUT E-CIGARETTES UK

We don't know if it is risk free, but compared to cigarettes...

What sort of e-cig are you using? I would imagine Wolverhampton has lots of shops selling one that look like plastic cigarettes?

Requiring posts is a good way to run off potential forum members.

If only there were plugins that could assist in decreasing spam.

Okay... lol

Baba, definitely stay hydrated and you will see all of those conditions dissipate (get it?). You daughter is, unfortunately, subject to the mainstream negative media surrounding vaporizers. How often does the media tell the truth?

Btdubs, welcome to ECF! We're happy to have you. :)

Hi thanks for getting back to me, I'm from the UK the liquid I am using, I can only state the ingredients Propylene glycol, vegetable, glycarin, flavouring nicotine may contain trace of nuts. They are made by a company called Phoenix Vapes in Birmingham .

I know you're from the UK. :)

Pheonix Vapes. I have bottles of Pheonix Vapours, but that's not the same company. Is it a shop?

So - you are refilling your e-cig?

Phoenix vapes is a very young company. You should check out posts on the UK forum for e-liquid vendors that are recommended over there.

But hydration is really a key element; start there.

Thanks for the link djsvapour :)

No problem.

Do your bottles have an address of something on?

Pheonix e-liquid

https://phoenixeliquid.co.uk/

is a new company, I have met them for real and they gave me 6 bottles to try. I have to say, they are EXCELLENT and make some great flavours. They also claim to take more care than many companies with ingredients, which I have no reason to be suspicious about.

Welcome to ECF! I am in the US and I go to the UK site sometimes. I use nic gum, when I can't vape, still. Stay hydrated, and see if lowering the PG might help. Some people are sensitive to the PG. Also, some flavors make me cough, so try switching flavors. Best of luck on your vaping!
