I've been analog-free for over a month now and I've noticed a ton of wonderful side effects recently (and a couple not-so-fun). Besides the obvious "my lungs don't want to commit suicide" feeling, I've noticed a couple other things.

My pulse is crazy-strong now--it scared me a little when I noticed it, I thought I was having a panic attack. But it feels like my heart "woke up". My fingernails are growing faster too. Yeah, that's a strange side effect, but my nail snapped off and took some skin with it only two weeks ago and it's already needing a trim!

As for the not-so-good, cigarettes dehydrated me. Sounds bad, but it kept my skin from producing buttloads of oil. Since quitting, I've reverted to my teenage face, pimples and all. :( Time to find a new skincare regimen...

Anyone have any silly or strange side effects they discovered?

Taste and smell were immediate for me. They returned full force 3 days into vaping. Already feel healthier overall, I'm excited to see how my running has improved, (haven't yet). Unpleasant things I can think of now are smelling smokers lol, and not being able to effectively hide morning breath with coffee and a smoke. lol

Its a sign of all that stuff from analogs leaving your body. They will go away that's the good news. The bad news is there might be more side effects but its all temporary.

Here is a great thread on the side effects of giving up analogs. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html

My positive was with dessert vapes I rarely want sweets anymore. Also since this tends to dry you out I drink a lot more water than I used to and that is so good for me. Sodas have practically vanished in my household.

Hope it helps

Strange to find this post since I was just thinking about this strange feeling I have for the past two days. I feel kind of amped up. You know like when you have too much coffee. My sleep has been very light and Iam awake very early despite wanting to sleep in. My hands are not trembling or anything like that but it feels to me like a high frequency vibration/ humm in my chest. Has anybody had that before ?

I've been vaping for about 24 hours now - only 3 cigs the whole time, and i have had this happy happy joy joy feeling the whole time. lmao. i'm not really questioning it for now - just enjoying being happy and not smelling all smoky. lol

Also, I've not eaten a thing all day... and not been hungry. I figured that would happen though since nicotine has always been an appetite suppressant for me. Quit smoking AND lose weight? jeez. Vaping may change my life :) lol

I have found the delayed-nic-absorbtion effect of vaping can lead to a nicotine overdose, which manifests as agitation. Of course, agitation gives me a nic fit and more of the same is NOT going to help! My body doesn't notify me immediately when I've had enough like it does with "nails."

I can also get that from continually vaping because I want one of the OTHER 5 active components in tobacco.

For the first, I keep some drastically-lower or 0-nic around for evening vaping (but still take one good cigarette-length vape of the "daytime" stuff right before bed.)

For the second, I've gone to 1/2 WTA, which often means I'll be satisfied sooner and vape a little less. Unfortunately, I may have to go to all-WTA but since my favorite flavors are not WTA I hope I don't have to do that, I want to keep mixing.

I found out that jalapeno peppers are actually HOT!

Oh no!! I love my jalapeños.

I'm looking forward to seeing if my tomatoes grow better. There is a tomato plant by where I used to smoke and is doing abysmally. I heard once from an unreliable source that cig smoke, even on the skin, can damage the plant. We'll see!
