Hello and welcome... If you are making the switch from cigarettes to vaping (which is a much safer alternative) tell your friends that this keeps you from smoking cigs. As far as safety use a regulated mod, good quality batterys and chargers. We would have to have a Lil more background info to better recommend a device for you....hope this helps

Hi @Ribas and welcome to the forum. There is a lot of info to be found in the forum I use the search box in the upper right above your name and avatar on every page. Just about any vape related term will work to bring many results.

As to the difference between cigs and vape :E-cigarettes around 95% less harmful than tobacco estimates landmark review - Press releases - GOV.UK

You might want to post what gear you are using to vape with. Most of all battery fails are with Mech Mods. Regulated mods are the most widely used and safe as well if you follow the rules of ohms laws and battery safety.

I hate to say it but many people will believe anything they hear or read negative about vape. It's like they don't have the brain power to educate themselves or know the lies.

Don't be shy about asking questions as there are many on ECF to help. Good luck in your journey.

Hi and Welcome! It's easy to be safe as long as you follow a few simple rules. Don't let your so called friends who don't know anything about vaping make decisions for you. You can ask anyone on this forum for help making good decisions that will keep you safe and making vaping experience a good one. I know I did!

I just saw a Public Service Announcement on TV that says their are 7000 chemicals in cigs. The only one in common with vaping is nicotine, which is addictive, though. My doctor said that nicotine and caffeine are similar in what they do. He also said, "good" when I told him I switched. My dentist even noticed better gums. I didn't tell him why though.

The tobacco, and other, manufacturers have a LOT of money and are taking big losses because people are switching to vaping to quit smoking. Vapers have little money in comparison. Sadly, city council members, mayors, state and federal legislators and those that work for them tend to like money or support. That is why there is a lot of negative press and ordinances against vaping.

Take the time to read about vaping in these forums and elsewhere. Learn and share your success story and what you have come to believe. Yes, safety is important and that is why people have mentioned it. People being unsafe is bad for them, and bad for us responsible people that are successfully getting away from 6999 bad chemicals.

Welcome @Ribas. Glad you found us. Lots of great people here willing to go extra mile to help you along your journey!
I quit smoking cigs after 43 years with the help of a KangerTech Subox Mini. 2 days after starting to vape, I threw away my pack of smokes and never looked back. I thank everyone here for their support in helping me do that!!!!!!!
Take your time, find a good regulated mod, a good tank and especially a good juice with the right amount of nicotine and you should be set. Let us know how we can help you.
Good Luck Brother!!!!!

Hi Rebas and welcome.

I see you have:

kangertech toptank mini starter kit..is this device safe for beginner especially who dont know anything bout vape??

Yes I have this toptank too. For a beginning vaper - I would say just be aware that this kit usually comes with the nickel coil installed. And that means you should be using "Temperature Control" with the nickel coil.

Personally I took the nickel out and used the stainless steel 0.5ohm on "variable wattage" mode - and that is what I would recommend to someone starting out.

Apart from the strange choice of installed coil in a "starter kit" I think this is generally good for someone starting out vaping. You can try the various ready-made coils on different wattages and airflow settings. You can use the rebuildable deck with the pre-made coil - and then go on to build your own coils which saves money and you can build exactly to your own requirements.

So the Toptank/Topbox offers a great deal of flexibility and Kangertech has a pretty good name. For me I have a few minor problems of leaking from air holes - but not enough to stop using my two toptanks. Because the flavour is great.
