Siegelei Zmax V3 Help

Just got my first apv in today. I got the zmax v3 and was eager to throw my protank on and start vaping. So far all I have been getting is a terrible burnt taste. I have a 2.3ohm resistance head in my protank and am using alien Visions Very Berry Blueberry juice. Even at the lowest watts and voltage it's nothing but burn. If I throw the protank on my ego twist again it tastes perfect. Volts on my battery are reading 3.6v.

Any idea what might be causing this? Whatever help and or advice you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated.

I have the zmax v5 (same as v3 but it has mobile charge gimmick)

How is the draw? If the airflow isnt good (or is too good) juice might not be flowing correctly.

And what voltage/wattage settings were you using it at on the zmax?

Did you switch the Zmax from mean to RMS? It is the last option on the menu.

The Zmax was in mean mode, I guess it is factory set that way. After changing it to rms it has done better. I am new to variable wattage however so what would be a good wattage to use for 2.3 ohms? And should I use higher ohms or is 2.3 ohms good?

depends on how you like it...The best way to really do it is put it in power mode (if you want to use wattage, same way for voltage really though) and start out at a lower settings, then keep going up and trying until you find a good taste.

It is really hard for people to tell you a "good wattage" or "good voltage" because a lot of people like different things.

Thanks for the replies guys. After using this apv for a few hours now I think I have it figured out. I fluctuate between 7 and 8 watts on a 2.3ohm and 2.5ohm protank set-up. After figuring the device out and finding my "sweet spot" I have to say I am loving this setup. Thanks for all the help guys!
