I think you'll be glad. All my Sigeleis have been solid workhorses. I see other mods and get excited about them, then ask myself why when another Sig will be more dependable.

That sure does look good to me, BUT, as I already have 3 Sig mini 30W's and a Sig 50 Vr2, iTaste SVD2, and a SID, I had prolly better NOT get this SUPER Deal right now. Also with the way I vape, a 100W device would be Gross Over Kill (12W-18W). My batteries already last me 24 Hrs Plus in each of my devices. Thanks for the link though. Have Fun Ya'll.

I have a Lemo on one of mine running 17W, lol! I get 3-4 days out of the batteries :). It was one of my first mods. I got it in a group buy for $75, which was cheap then, in September. Hanas were $250, the new ipvs cost more and had less power. I figured the two batteries and long vape time was good, and I could run anything on it. So I bought it. 9 months later its still running great. Its never done anything bad. It still looks great, too. So it was a good buy. I've put Doges with crazy builds on it, tried crazy builds in the Lemo, etc. I'm glad I bought it. I'm glad I bought all my Sigeleis. I also have a 50W v2r and a mini. Its always ok though to say no to another mod if you don't need it. And hey, the minis are under $35.

I have 3 isticks that scare me when they need charged. A Zero clone I had to change the chip in. Another Zero set on fire in my vape stand. I see more ipv4s may have set on fire than isticks so I'm glad I didn't buy that. At least our Sigs are good to us :toast:

I hear ya. I came into vapeing Aug. 28, 2014 so I remember the Sig 100 coming onto the scene at something over $ 100 if I remember correctly. I've got 2 Lemo's and 3 Lemo Drops among other things. I'm looking at 2 Sig mini 30's with 2 Lemo Drops right now (each with a different juice set at 12W). Talk about crazy builds, I've got a Lemo I just set up with a UD Clapton coil :vapor: at about 1 Ohm (10 wraps on 2mm ID, Under the screws no less), I'll try it on my mini 30 first to see what happens with ramp up time. I've not heard of the IPV4's catching fire before this, just all the complaining about the screen. And YES, my Sig's Are Good to Me, I don't think a person can go wrong in getting one (aside from China's version of Quality Control that is, but Sigelei seems better at it than the others). If I need a New mod in the future, It will be a Sigelei for sure.

Yeah, we started that group buy in August. Sigelei was still testing them and making changes. It actually was my first "real" mod :). I had an mvp 2.0 and Vision Spinners, lol! And what do I buy? A 100W mod, lol! At the time though, it was my best option cost wise and it had a 6 month warranty.

There have been two issues with the ipv4. Fires and explosions using the 9v charger and the other has to do with the charging port not being insulated and shorting (I think on the 510?). People are removing it, which solves the problem.

That sounds like they STILL Haven't fixed the same problem that dates back to the IPV3 I believe, the charging port issue, again is that Pioneer4You's or YiHi ? Yeah, a 100W as your First Mod, You don't mess around, Ha Ha !! :headbang:

Yes, they had that problem with the ipv3 as well. I suspect its the same problem with the 50W isticks...trying to balance two batteries while charging.

I've still got my 2 Vision Spinner 2's and my 2 EVOD2's. I started with those and never looked back, but to go to a 100W from that, I think I would have hurt myself with my limited knowledge of battery safety back then, you know, so koodow's to you for seeing Quality Equipment and knowing how best to apply it.

Hey, I just thought of something, am I right in saying that the Sigelei 100W and the 150W DON'T have charge ports ? Maybe it's YiHi then with the problem and Sigelei knows NOT to put charge ports on those boards (the SX330 in this case).

Sigeleis don't have charge ports on any dual battery mods. The sx330 chip is available at different power levels. My ipv1 uses that chip and is only 35W. The Sig 100W also uses that chip. And the ipvs from 50-165W all use that chip as well. Safe for usb charging in one battery mods, but apparently not two batt mods?

I did what Sig told me to do. Use 30A batteries and marry them :). Charge them together, use them together and flip their spots each time.

There you go, too many people just seem to NOT be able to follow instructions (written OR verbal) and I think that THAT is why some get into trouble with vaping, also the people that just walk into a vape shop and the "Bro" behind the counter tells them that a 100 or 150 will be the Last mod that they will ever need, so they buy it, with no further instruction except how to turn it on and adjust the settings, and away they go. Battery Safety ? Ohms Law ? That's what we see and hear on the News, aka the guy suing a vape shop cause he has a battery explode in his pants pocket. Now That MUST have Hurt !! I think that was posted over on the "Front Porch" is where I saw it.

Some of this I Did Not Know, Thank You. You're more advanced than I am at this point in my vapeing life.

We did all discuss this at length because it was the first high powered box and wired in series (stacked batteries). And I remember Busardo was very concerned about it as well. I do try my best to inform new owners when I see the posts. One guy called me a name though after I posted in his thread about how to take care of the batteries! I was geez, you asked, I answered, what the heck?! Oh, well, I answered his question, but I guess he didn't like the answer.

Exactly, Some think that they can make up their OWN rules, and THEY are the first to cry Foul when something goes wrong. The same that "It's always some one elses Fault" when *%#@! happens. This 100W Sigelei is a Very Powerful device, But safe to use if proper precautions are followed. There's a Long list of people that I've learned from here on ECF, and you're One of them Roxy. Thank You.

Edit: I did see PBusardo's video, Not Pete Folks, and he seemed very uncomfortable with the device, The Monolith ? LoL But after ALL his tests, it checked out as Good.

I went through 17 pages of your posts to date looking for this thread that discussed "stacked batteries" and could not find it.

I ask because I disagree with several points in the busardo's video, one being the point about switching positions of the cells in the unit. If they are married, (which I can agree with), but used in series or parallel, if there is an internal issue with the cell, the load doesn't care which position the cell is in.

I could very well be wrong on that, but the technical of that would be better on EEVblog Electronics Community Forum - Index
