Since I picked up an iPV3, usage vs. my mechs has been about 90%/10%. The consistent regulated output is just awesome, and the ability to build twisted coils at a higher resistance and throw a lot of power at them makes flavor chasing just that much easier.

This is generally what I love. Love that constant output of 80 watts and not just 3-5 hits at 80 watts. Got a carbon fiber wrap around my Sig100 and looks awesome! Using a dark horse on top with triple twisted 28 gauge coming to .38 ohms and loving the flavor and vapor production

I dont know why i am in the opposite side of the spectrum here but I have owned a sigelei 100w since they first came out like 2 months ago. I was one of the extremely early adopters.

I used it for a solid 1 1/2 month and came to realize that box mods are not for me....at least not yet. Yes its nice have 100w at your disposal and a OLED screen to tell you your battery info as well as huge amounts of battery life. But honestly as I used the box mod I just kept thinking about my mech mods.

I think its due to the fact that I was so OCD about polishing and maintaining the metals on my mech mods that once i moved to a sigelei 100 I kind of missed that sort of ritual with my mech mods.

Not to mention, mech mods are just simply elegant. WIth atomizers being flush and matching metals and finishes I really liked that type of min / max attitude specifically trying to find ways to minimize voltage drop and boost performance. IE.... copper tape, noalox, etc.

The sigelei feels cheap to me especially when compared to a thick tubed heavy mech mod with an awesome switch.

I suppose its not fair really because obviously these sigelei boxes are mass produced and cheap for what they are. There is just something about them that made me keep thinking about my mechs.

Maybe i should try one of those 200$+ designer box mods.

There is definitely something to be said for the hobby aspect of mechs, which I enjoy to a certain degree. Regulated mods rob you of that. But at the same time, I also enjoy blasting my barn doors off hassle-free with my new box.

I've decided that the box will not make my mechs obsolete. There are a few reasons including the portability of mechs and the hobby aspect. But this box is one heck of a cool new toy.
