So far, i've seen/heard of 4 instances where the sigelei 100w eats up battery wrappers. It happened on both of my vtc4's. Also happened on one of my buddy's. Went to a store 2 days ago and one of the customers mentioned it (which is why I noticed mine). Also saw on phils vid that one of his batts had wrapping issues (although I dont know if its due to the sigelei or if it was from something previous). Just wanted to see if other people had the same issue.

mine is the newer version with the button contacts (if that's what you meant?) not sure. The next time I charge the batts I will try to get to the bottom of this.

what batts are you using?
personally i bought 4 VTC5's about a month or so ago and have been alternating with them.

Ok, so I figured it out. Even though my 100w has the new button copper contacts on the top and bottom, the ones on the bottom are sharp (where the copper meets plastic) and this is what caused my batt wrapper to tear. Simple solution = electrical tape over the tear, and always insert the battery on the bottom of the mod first, then snap up. Yes I feel stupid. I just assumed that since it had the new button contacts on the bottom it wouldnt tear.
