I see a lot of folks asking about batteries and the sigelei 100w / IPV3s. In almost every thread someone says, "You won't need to go below 0.5 ohms" or "at 8 volts . . ." EDIT: PLEASE correct me if these devices can actually achieve above 7v.

Before you attempt to "help" make sure your information is correct. Sigelei 100w / IPV3 have a 7v limit and also indicate a required resistance below 0.5 must be achieved to hit 100w, unless I am egregiously wrong - NOTE that in this sub-ohm/high-amp range, battery knowledge and safety is a MUST. Be an informed consumer.

Now, I'm not saying you need to hit 100w. If you like basic single coil or even dual coil at 28g or thinner wire, you probably won't be shooting for 100w. Hell, I'm more interested in the dual battery for vaping duration between recharges myself - might never go above 70-80w.

But, the advice referencing 8v and or saying you won't need to go below 0.5ohms is an incorrect and generalized statement, IMHO.

Thanks for the input, I really believe these units to be great products. Also, I'm still not clear on confirmation of display and actual cap on the 100w 7v? 8.5v? Seen conflicting spec sheets.

Now, I'm not saying everyone should be vaping below 0.5Ohms. I'm simply saying that the advice "No one should ever want to go below 0.5Ohms" to be incorrect and subjective.

EDIT: Filth E, what AWG do you prefer. I've found that I absolutely hate anything thinnner than 26g. Even 28g is way to springy and I don't feel like annealing the wire just to build a coil. Now, I know some folks with 1.0+ Ohm builds that produce just fine but, they are really comfortable with 28g.
