Sigelei 100Watt+ feels warm to the touch

Throughout all my watching and reading reviews on the Sigelei 100Watt+ box mod, I've never heard about anyone commenting on the heat from the box mod itself. I just bought my 100Watt+ today with the 30amp Sigelei 18650 batteries. Charged the batteries immediately and when I slapped them onto my box mod and attached my PV 1.5 Clone (Quad coil @~0.33ohms and took a few hits(no more than 5 seconds each) I noticed how warm the box mod was.

Is it normal for the box to feel warm? It's still somewhat comfortable to hold and vape, but its definitely noticeable. Kind of like when you use a mech mod with a subohm build and chain vape for like 3 min and the atty is hot to the touch, but the mech mod body is starting to warm up a bit due to the heat transferring from atty to mech mod.

I'm sure everything would remain pretty cold if you were vaping at 10 watts, but somewhere in those two paragraphs you forgot to mention what power you were vaping at.

If it were 28 gauge, I'd think you were vaping at something like 60 watts.

It it were 26 gauge, I'd guess more like 100 watts.

Ever touched a 60 watt ordinary tungsten light bulb?

It was 26guage quad coil @ 0.33ohms. I hit 60watts once, and then started playing around with the wattage from 25 watts to 40watts. The heating is entirely gone now. Currently I'm running the good ol' dual coil 26 guage @0.8ohms since my quads were really dirty.

Wouldn't use a sigelei battery. Buy some Samsung 25r from illumination supply.

Its a bit too late now. Its fine, since I can always get some 25rs later down the road. I don't plan on selling my mech mod either anytime soon, so IF the sigelei batteries do fail, I'll use my mech and wait to receive new batteries.
