Sigelei #20 with AGA-T2 - First time going beyond my Volt...

Hey everybody!

I recently got my hands on a sigelei #20 and ordered up an AGA-T2 to put on top of it. My batteries should finally show up on Friday - 2 Efest 18350's* - so I'm about ready to get going on setting this thing up and trying a vape off of something other than my Volt starter kit...

What I need to know is can I safely setup a coil on my AGA-T2 with a SILICA wick using just my #20 and a freshly charged battery?

Details: I have 30g Kanthal wire, 2.5mm silica wick. I also have the little sheet of stainless and some wire that came with the AGA-T2 - not sure of the gauge on it tho. I really want to start off with a silica wick and then step up to the SS mesh in the future. I would like to aim for a 1.5ish ohm coil, sounds like this should be somewhere in the 4-6 wrap region...?

*- I know to not stack my 18350's in the #20.

I tried silica in my AGA and didn't like it. Vertical wicking with silica just doesn't work for me. Feel free to give it a try, but if you're anything like me, you'll be disappointed and will switch to mesh.

Mostly I'm starting out with Silica for ease of setup, and to see what wrapping a coil is all about. I definetly plan to go to SS in the future.

My main point is that I want to make sure I'm not going to blow my face off dry burning a 1.5 ohm silica coil to make sure I built it right.
