Hello new here. Friendly hello from the vaping community in Madison, WI

I am currently using a sigelei 20W with a IGO 6. I have a quad coil set up with cotton at .6 ohms. I have the sigelei at 20watts. I'm only getting 3.4 colts at 20watts. The IGO seems to be getting hot. The heat doesn't seem to be going directly to the coils. I'm using a 100% VG mix. Does anybody use this set up? Also, does 3.4 volts at 20watts seem normal?

doing a quick calc, something isnt adding up correctly...
why are you wanting to use 4 coils? 2 coils pull quite a bit of power as it is. a quad can pull so much power, your battery wont be able to keep up.
Are you getting the ohm reading off of the mod or meter?.. What wire gauge are you using? for duals and quads, 30ga. is a better bet.

The Segelei can not step down voltage. This is also true for the DNA20 and 30. If your battery is charged above the voltage needed to produce the wattage you are requesting (well..sometimes there is drop off when you view the screen) it will just dump the pure battery voltage. At least this is what Phil Busardo and some others have demonstrated. Although the Segelei will occasionaly work at .6 ohms I have found its performance to be quirky. I keep it at .7 or.8 and above and its performance is pretty good. (Frankly...quad coils at .6 ohms on the Sigelei or DNAs is really pushing it)

That's a great idea to plug the numbers into the ohms law. Basic things you forget sometimes, is the answer. So, I have definitely noticed when I prime the quads, the ohms change from .6 to .7 and I can always fire at 3.7 volts. When the device is cold it fires at 3.46 volts at .6 ohms. This little change is making a HUGE difference. This set up is not ideal for on-the-go. So, I'm thinking about getting a Kayfun and wrap at 1.0 ohms? Good Segelei setup I've read.
