Hi all,

As you can tell I'm new here so I can't post this in another section...

I bought the sigelei 30w Mini Box mod about a month ago. Was absolutely loving it as previously I had an eGo. I've been using a subtank nano with it, and an LG Battery (35A max) 18650 battery. I usually vape at around 15w as the subtank is obviously sub-ohm and produces good vapour.

However, yesterday my sigelei started playing up. I went to vape, and barely any vapour was produced. The LCD screen said check atomizer, so I took it off, made sure it was all okay and put it in again. Again, it says check atomizer. I then tried again with another atomizer, an aspire bdc (....ty I know), and it said check atomizer again.
I left it for a couple of hours and then tried again. It worked perfectly fine. Today however it is doing the same. But this time it produces a tiny amount of vapour, even when the I am not pushing on the button. It also fire WHEN THE device IS TURNED OFF, which is a worry. I've looked everywhere for a fix, but cannot find anything.

It is not a problem with the atomizer as i have tried multiple, and the aspire works fine on an ego.

at first I was thinking a centerpin problem, but if it fires when the device is turned off, then you have some serious problem inside the box.

I should have elaborated, the spring contact pin in the tank, not the box. I think the box might need some work or be returned.

The subtank is at fault, but my sigelei is broken now. The subtank caused heating in my mech mod, so I assume the subtank is at fault and has destroyed my sigelei. Thanks for all your help guys

You never stated the resistance of the coil. It could be that you were using too low of resistance coil. Even if the device states it will run a .2 or .3 resistance coil, once the coil heats up it could drop below that and that would cause your device to heat up and not work. The older mods had a light that would turn red when you had a bad coil or battery, newer devices give the check atomizer message. Are you certain that the device was turned off? It may have just seemed like it was off. The Subtanks come with a 1.2 and a .5 OCC head I would switch out atomizer head on the Subtank to 1.2 and put a new battery in.
