Hi everyone. I've recently gotten into vaping as I just quit smoking. I'm wondering which of the two would be a better choice. I have had a Cloupor Mini a few weeks back but I sold it because I felt that the wattage wasn't a fit for my preference. I'm looking for a device with a higher wattage and I think clouds have captured my interest. So, I may be into more vapor production.

Question is, which would be a better choice: the sigelei or the ipv? It'll be of big help if you share your experiences on both devices. Thanks a lot!

I am quite torn too! They're both nice looking devices. I see that the Sigelei has vents at the side, which would help the battery stay cooler during use, whilst the iPV has it on the battery cap, which might, more or less, be not as effective. Correct me if I'm wrong but I read that they're using the same chips. Really need to set my brain on one so I can stop having sleepless nights lol!

Those vents aren't exactly placed there to cool the battery. They're there in case the battery itself vents (not a good thing), it gives the gases somewhere to escape rather than turning the device into an explosive grenade.

Indeed. If your battery is hot you have a problem and should stop using it immediately.

The matter at hand; I have an IPV Mini 2 and have been very pleased with it. I typically don't use it above 40 watts, but 6 months ago I didn't vape anything over 15 watts, so you never know what's coming next. I don't have any experience with the Sigelei so I can't really speak to that. I'm sure you'd be pretty happy with either. Here's a pic to sweeten the pot.

I have had tremendous luck with my Sigelei products which isn't the case with any other brand of box mods it seems like sigelei puts their focus in all the right areas like the quality of build instead of looks or gimmicky attachments like a sensor fire button the casing of the mod may not be anything more than a basic box design but the quality of craftsmanship of the internals seems better than other devices in the same catagory. My friend has the IPV 3 and prefers my Sigelei 150 over it for performance and he has had quite a deal of issues with his IPV that I don't have. The real question is how much power are you looking for and what is your budget because if you are wanting more than 50 watts I say bite off the few extra bucks and go with the 100 watt plus by Sigelei it is a solid device and it gives you headroom power wise if you want it. I'm not saying the IPV is bad but I personally don't feel it has the internal refinement of the Sigelei line of products I have used and owned Cloupor, P4U IPV mods, and still stay with the Sigelei boxes I sold my friend my 100 watt plus but still have the 150 and should they come out with a more powerful mod yet I will surely buy it but this time I'll keep my 150 that won't go anywhere. 20150215_041042.jpg

I had toyed with the idea of getting one, but I couldn't get over how big the darn thing is.

I went with the iPV Mini II. This thing kicks some serious, uhh, stuff! Definitely a worthy purchase. And because it's not that expensive, if it goes nuts along the way, I could probably buy another one, or an upgraded version of it. Thanks for helping me out with the decision, guys!

Will probably give the Sigelei a chance too if I've got extra cash to burn haha
