Next step hopefully some mass made 26650 dna 200 mods in single or dual battery configs will be nice :)
the sigelei mini book seems an upgrade for the 30 watt or 35 watt one, its strange why its not 50 watts or more since the d2 is 75 and the evic mini is 60 (75 with a recent firmware upgrade) and same with many other mini mods, you don't see too many new 40 watt single battery mods these days

Interested but mooch has only tested 3 26650's as far as i can tell.. 2 rated at 10 amp and the MNKE orange at 25+A 3500 mah... prob will stick to 18650 LG HG2 3000 mah 20A (since i have a bunch), until there's a ~4000+ mah testing confirmed pushing me with the battery life.

I saw that also SL, which made me start searching for more 26650 batteries and there just is not that many. I thought that the main draw to the 26650 batteries was longer run time and/or Higher Continuous Discharge, but in Mooch's tests that is not what is happening. So I ask, is going to a 26650 really worth it ? From what I am seeing at this time, No. Maybe instead of the Sigelei 75W Plus TC, I might go with the Cloupor GT 80W dual 18650. I want to wait on that for more feed back from the community first though (due to Cloupor's mini problems and the big kerfuffle that ensued).

To be fair he does have quite a lot on his plate in terms of battery testing queue. If something like the King Kong 26650 (4000 mah) turned out to be decent I would consider (not risking things blowing up in my face with all the exaggerated claims), but the 18650's market is huge in comparison so there is many more options with 18650 than 26650 from the research I've done.

I hear that, I do. I knew nothing of the 26650 batteries until word got out about the New Sigelei, then I started to research on 26650's and was surprised at how few there were and at how little info there was on them.

Its true about there not being as much 26650s as 18650, theres some out there though but most are not from sony, lg, panasonic, unless maybe theyre rewrapping them. I think there used to be a sony 26650 around or panasonic with good specs but its very rare.
On ft they have the one Mooch tested at least at first glance being the mnke 26650 3500mah, theres some by vappower but no clue how good they are.
illumn.com have some too by efest and keeppower, one efest claims 4200mah with 40a continuous and 60a pulse another on there says 5200mah with 15a continuous 40a pulse.
Orbtronic has one that seems interesting too - a 5200mh one with 20a continuous, 30a pulse that could be interesting as they usually are a reliable company, at least from what I read in the past, so maybe the specs of that one are exact.

The main things with 18650s is some of them have been used by loads of people for vaping so theres a tonne of real world testing out there, plus Mooch has tested them too, there might be some tests on all the 26650s mentionded too elsewhere though, but as far as vaping theyre less used. The mnke's I think I've noticed were mentioned in the past amongst 26650 mech users more than others but no idea how many amps were being drawn from them.

One other thing is in LED flaslights theyve had 26650 versions for a while now and you can even get an adaptor which is a plastic sleeve that the 18650 sits in and makes it the size of a 26650, it defeats the point of a 26650 led or mod but will let you use both, presumably in most 26650 mods too.
