Not sure if im even in the right forum/subforum. but my 8w was my first mechanical mod, and ive loved it, until i purchased a mod that had an adjustable top pin (510 connection) so that ALL my rda's and tanks would sit flush. i've searched and googled and to no avail. i was wondering if anyone knows of a site that sells the top cap with an adjustable pin or if another model of the caravela clone such as ehpro has an adjustable top pin?

if that doesnt work, i was wondering if there was any way to tinker with it and MAKE it adjustable? haha. any replies or advice will be appreciated. thanks!

Both the insulator and top pin are threaded... they are just tight. Once you get them out (usually with pliers for the first time), you can "slot" the insulator on the sides, and either slot, or leave the screw in the center pin... so you can more easily adjust them.

holy ....! haha! never wouldve thought of that! and here i was, ready to try and pound out the pin to get a better idea of how to go about it! thank you!!

Yeah... the damn things are so tight that you don't even realize they're threaded... but all Sigelei mechs that I've come in contact with, are threaded. I think Sigelei purposely makes the threads on that insulator a bit snug... better than loose eh? ;-)

After you screw it all apart and together a few times, they loosen up to the point where you can screw the insulator and pin in and out by hand... but the screw slot thing is still a good idea, just in case you get a little to agro tightening things down.

haha. that is true. thanks for that tho. i was just about to sell it to a friend/new fellow vaper. but i think now i'll hang on to it. :)

and yeah, right after i saw your post i ran over to my "vape table" and took a pliers to it. came out like nuthin. and since i had my dremel handy with the cutting attachment in the chuck, i cut a small slot in it to make my on-the-go experiences a little easier.

maybe its just me, but that small, 1-2mm gap between the top cap and an atty just irk the crap out of me! hahaha!

thanks again! valuable information! hopefully i'll be able to pass that on to someone else who runs into the same problem now!
