....... I have 3 tracking numbers for 2 order numbers for one order that I placed and was double charged for.... (that doesn't include an order for a 8w that has not shipped yet...) One package is out for delivery, one is on it's way and one is electronic notification of shipping for the same order number that is out for delivery. Confused? me too.

It is being looked into, else I will end up with a lot of equipment that I don't need more than I need my cash...

sigelei gurus:

Also - how long do you typically get out of an 18650 battery on a mechanical? Mine was lasting for ~2 hours last night with an approx 1 ohm coil.

Thanks,

Mike

slightly OT, but I dont think anybody would mind....

Battery life depends upon your battery condition, capacity, your vDrop, how you like your vape, how you vape and a couple of other factors as well. So its difficult to answer a "how long does your battery last" question. Some people go all day, some they only last 1/2 hour.

For an example, I'll give some thinking around it . Typically, you would pull your battery way before exhaustion because of natural battery voltage drop and the things mentioned above. So if you have a 2000mAh rated battery and for this made-up example, say your really only get to tap into ~1600mAh with all the factors considered. If you have a a 1 ohm coil, battery drain calcs say you should get at least one-half hour of total power to coil vape time.

So thats about 200 five second puffs. If your battery lasted 2 hours, I would take a guess that you were vaping it about every fifteen to twenty minutes for about five to ten minutes at a time?

Ok, I have been halfheartedly following this thread since I ruined my 19 trying to get fancy on the lathe and pretty much gave up on mech mods.

But the 19e or brass 19 has perked my interest. If someone had an extra 19e with nzonic head to sell, I'm pretty sure I could find a certain brass accessory to throw in as a bonus :D

Anyone know of anywhere with stock on the regular head 19e? I checked most of the usual places to no avail.

That time estimate sounds about right...I guess that's the adjustment I need to make when going to low-ohm coils :D More than anything else, I wanted to validate that my battery time wasn't indicative of another issue with the #20.

Many thanks!

Mike

If you are going "sub" ohm on the #20, the switch wont take it for long... I would look at the switch mod's in this thread.

Its probably worth it to just get a couple extra batteries, not worry about saving power and vape with the set-up that floats your boat. :2c:

These have been working really well for me: 2 for $14 bucks delivered. $13.62 Panasonic NCR18650PD 18650 3.6V 2900mAH Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

    Sorry :)

This maybe a stupid question but I ordered the magnets, and they are attracted to each other on both sides....

Here a quick run through on setting up a magnetic switch for the Sigelei #19. The only parts I needed to source were two ring magnets.

I used these: SuperMagnetMan and for the bonus they were actually gold plated (not that we needed that for this version of the mod)

    Parts:
Small o-ring for spacing the brass post a bit higher in the delrin insulator
Braided copper wire (see my earlier post of Studiovap's mod; http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...78-sigelei-mechnical-mods-42.html#post9614724)
    Two ring magnets: 12mm OD/8mm ID - 3mm thick

Before you assemble, you will need to either bring the brass post down in diameter by ~.25mm or expand the center of the ring magnets by .25mm. They both spec out to 8mm and would not fit together. I didn't want to really touch the post so I opened up the magnets using 120/320/600 grit sandpaper wrapped around a 6mm bolt, then chucked in a drill. You need to go slow and do not let the magnets heat-up. They will loose magnetism. They just need to slide onto the post, the less gap the better.

    Step One:

Insert the post into the delrin spacer upside down. Take the preformed copper wire and secure in the small gap at the base of the delrin spacer. Bend the smaller top circle of the preformed copper wire up. This will give you room to place the magnets. This picture has magnet number one in place.

    Step Two

Find the right polarity of the second magnet so that its opposing magnet one. These magnets are very strong and will flip easily. Place magnet number two over the post and wrap the copper wire over the magnet and twist tight to the base of the post thread. Try to keep the wire close to the last thread, there is not a lot to play with and you need the threads to secure the end-cap. Here is a picture of the result. Notice that magnet two is floating. The wire is preventing the magnet from popping off.

    Step Three:

Replace the lock ring cap, making sure that the large loop of the wire is tucked nicely in the delrin spacer gap. The lock ring should be able to tighten all the way down. Then re-attach the button using pressure on the battery side of the brass post and on the outside of the button to tighten and lock down on the wire.

    Here is my final result:

The button has about 2mm of play before firing. You can use another o-ring spacer next to the first one to bring the distance closer, but I did not have the right size, so I went with the single o-ring.

Vape performance is the same as the copper wire with the spring mod (the wire is the path of current), which is outstanding BTW. The feel of the button push is interesting. Its smooth, but the resistance increases as the magnets get closer. The push force is very light, has no grinding and the Mod stands without firing. After vaping with this for the day, I know by touch and the feel of the resistance when the mod is going to fire. I have not been able to get that with a spring yet. With the spring, it was more like push until it stops. This has a touch thing going on.

Cost of mod. - $1.50 (not including shipping...) Value = priceless. :)

Just to double check you did order the magnets in the link?

Does the same thing happen putting a gold one next to the magnet in the brass post?

I ordered the ones finished in nickel and I see my mistake. The gold is magnetized through the thickness and the nickel is magnetized across the diameter.

If you have a multi-meter, Ω out each connection and multiple connection. Make sure your tube to switch, switch to positive pin etc all are zero. Bottom line if it isn't firing then you have an open. Since it is intermittent (sometimes there sometimes not) I would start with the moving part, i.e. the switch.
