I think someone posted about the Bagua clone, but I jsut found out that sigelei is the one making them. It looks like the neg post is the same as the 8W so if anyone is getting one it looks like the magnets used in the #19 switch will work for it also. I pre-ordered one and have some magnets coming so when I get mine I will post. Just figured I would let everyone know.

I'm having an issue that my sigelei 8s locking ring doesn't want to budge from a locked position. Feels like the threads went wonky on me. Has this happened I anyone else?

I don't have the 8s, but on my 8 and 13's switch, when I screwed the locking ring all the way up it would come off the threads. My fix was to remove the switch, put a M4 locking ring around the firing pin on the inside of the tube to shorten the throw and thus prevent the locking ring from unscrewing all the way off the threads.

Mich, where can I find the locking ring you are referring to?

I just pre-ordered the Brass Chi-You clone from VaporTekUsa.
It does bother me that they screwed up and put the BaGua logos on a Chi-You clone and called it a BaGua. It doesn't even look like a BaGua 18650. That's why I ordered the brass model without logos. I think VaporTek maybe trying to get the brushed and polished SS models without logos as well. I would like a SS without logos.

I dont care for logos (unless its the real deal). Just so long as the switch works well and the airflow controlled top cap does its job, I'll be really happy.

I might have to get an 8W and an SG1.
I really do like the Oddy on it with a hybrid drop like NamVet68 did.
That looks awesome man. Did you get it working? How's the airflow?

I should have been more clear and not used the term "locking ring." I meant an M4 slotted metal washer, which I picked up at Home Depot. I believe others have used a small oring, which would be a lot easier to get on that firing pin. The slotted washer was a PITA to get on as I couldn't get the firing pin unscrewed from the firing button to have it slip on.

Here's a pic to better show what I did. I put the locking washer just under the end of the firing pin. 8 switch.jpg

Its working, but I haven't received my flat-top 350s yet, so it doesn't' sit flush at this time with nipple-tops, The draw is pretty tight because the threads of the adapter block the air intake hole to a certain degree. An easy fix would be an adjustable airflow ring, but I want to keep it as compact & smooth as possible.

Once I get the correct batts, I will probably just cut a beveled slot in the adapter ring indexed on the air-hole of my Oddy. I also ordered an Ithaka clone yesterday, and since it already had a built-in air control, I might just go that route. Either way, it should work as well as on any other MOD....

I have an SG1 kit and also love the looks of the 8W hybrid action... but I ended up getting the 650 size tube and although the SG1 will screw into the mod just fine, it doesn't matter what 18650 battery you use, the damn thing will not fit!!

I keep seeing all these cool pictures of everyone's 8W in 350 mod. I guess I'm the only idiot the ordered the 650 size :(

This is what I did with my S#8 too since the threading became loose when in lock position. But instead of metal washer I just used a small rubber o-ring. No disassembling needed. :)

Gummy, you using nipple top or flat top batteries?

Both, nipple and flat will not work. With the 650 tube, the battery going up inside of the top cap. If you take the top cap off the 8W and place a 650 battery inside of it, the battery will show out of the top of the tube.

I had to sand down the pin just to get my atomizers to sit flush with flat top battery's in the mod. Even with the extension screw all the way "telescoped" as closed as can be.

that's what I'm saying, the 18650 tube isn't 350ish worth longer than the 18350 tube... It's like 300ish worth longer.
