Seeing the #20 made me want to buy a Roler, which I would rather have if I'm going to own a top button mech. Either the Roller or a 69 mod, can't decide.

I'd been torn between the Roller & the 69 as well. The 20 helped me make up my mind. Roller it is. Shorter in all configurations, and I doubt I'd use the 69 in bottom button mode much anyway.

#20

Right out of the box, I got 2.2-2.3v under load readings (28awg 0.6ohm, this very rba/build measured very well on KTS gold/chrome)
After swapped out the spring with a madvapes Silver coiled spring, sanded/cleaned 510 seat, post and battery contact, got much better measures, but still not close to the gold/chrome.

efest 18350

0.6ohm 28awg
no load: 4.02v
RBA posts, 3 readings: 2.92 2.97 2.95v
loss: 27%

2.5ohm 32awg
no load: 4.02v
RBA posts: 3.54, 3.55, 3.50
loss: ~12%

panny 18650ch

0.6ohm 28awg
no load: 4.18v
RBA posts: 3.21 3.17 3.21
loss: 23%

2.5ohm 32awg
no load: 4.18v
RBA posts: 3.74, 3.75, 3.74
loss: ~11%

I shined a micro LED flashlight through the holes on the head, the copper/brass spring and rods look clean and make firm contact with button pressed. I wonder taking it apart would help much...

Vape is nice but rather smooth on the full charge. For me, 5ohm on 28awg might work better.:vapor:

which battery spring did you get? the small or large one from madvapes?

The silver bullet hot spring turned up from celtic vapes, the #20 now rocks :D

Edit:
the genuine roller switch will not work in the #20 without modding it, the #20`s button hole is a larger diameter than the rollers so the button isn't held in when the switch is fitted. I think Todds blog video shows the older roller switch fitted not the newer type.

Here is my modded switch ...'y for the #20. Personally, I think they should have stayed this route to begin with and never used that crazy spring setup in there. It looks like trouble to me..>So I ditched it!

First I went on a hunt to find some brass in the house. This toilet bolt was just right for the job.

Then I rounded the top to create my switch contact plate.

Then before cutting off the top I attached the factory pin from the button.

Then I cut off the original threaded bolt portion using my drill press as a ghetto lathe.:D

I originally used a part from an old carto or CE2 but then resorted to the original brass from the Sigelei as the one of the button contacts.

Here is a pic with the contacts filed and in place.

Here is the complete non-working switch....Hey, everything needs tweaking:D

The switch is functional but It did require some slight tweaks after the build. I was expecting it to operate correctly right away and that just usually don't happen.

Overall, I am glad I did the deed and I feel like I have a more solid mod now because if it. I figured if I totally buggered the darn thing up I could always install a switch like the Bolt/Silver Bullet has and would still have a solid SS Mod.

He's from Venerable Vaping. I haven't ordered from the site, but they just posted up the #3, 8, 9, 13a, 19, 30 in stock. All $28.99 or less.

Gutted. Tried to order a 13a but won't ship to the UK :(

So, it's still stewing away while I absorb what you did but how does the button disengage?. You push the button to connect the internal contacts but how does it spring back so it is not making contact any longer?

RSST @ 1.4ohm in 18350 mode BARELY functional:confused:
Efest IMR 800mah Flat tops

Temporary spring from another mod.

Any thoughts?

I'm assuming both bats are fully charged. Did you check the battery with a multimeter? It could be dying. A dying battery won't fully charge and won't hold its charge for long. Healthy 3.7v bats should perform similarly when freshly charged no matter the mAhs. A fully charged battery should read 4.2v on a multimeter give or take a couple hundredths of a volt.

20s are the top button ones correct? If so I think they are problematic compared to the others, top button are more finicky if not designed correctly
